False, however note that only RT is eligible for a free stopover. 1 open-jaw is also allowed for RT. (both origin and destination allowed).

It only says the following:

The mileage required for one-way Star Alliance awards
that includes at least one stopover will be calculated based
on each flight sector in the itinerary, unless otherwise
specified in our Terms and Conditions

It only says the following:

That's for OW ticket, which does not permit any stopover at all. So any 'stopover' is as good as booking 2 separate OW tickets. SA stopover is only permitted for RT (regardless of saver or standard).

Can I check that I can pool the points from my different dbs cards and scb cards to redeem krisflyer miles when paying the redemption fee?

Citizen premiermiles and citi thank you points are the only ones that can't pool?

You pay the respective banks a fee for converting credit card points to air miles. If you transfer from multiple banks, you need to pay multiple fees. There's no extra fee for redeeming an award ticket, you only pay YQ+taxes.

SCB points does not pool, although if you have the Visa Infinite and you have another account holder with Visa Infinite, you can transfer all to him/her then transfer back to yourself.

@dahpro the reason for asking if I can change my tickets after booking is because I will be changing jobs and am concerned my new job does not allow me to fly during the stipulated dates. So need back up dates...

As in since I have a few scb cards, I transfer to another VI member and then transfer the members and mine points to my account to pool together with the other non VI cards I have ?

Don't understand the above since the redemption rate for VI points is 2500 for 1000 krisflyer but non VI is 3500 for 1000 krisflyer .

Now they have Priority VI and non priority VI also, interchangeable? Very confusing haha

My company n CX are very, very closely related. So no choice, gotta support own business. To be frank, I'm surprised I can get full miles for all my business travels.

Yes, you save 10k in Y and 20k in J. I did the other way round because I was en-route to the States on SQ2, and had to visit my friend in Bangkok back then. Hence I decided to start SQ2 at HKG, since SIN-BKK-SIN-HKG-SFO sounded pretty dumb, so did SIN-HKG-BKK-HKG-SFO. This was however done using AM instead of Avios, you gotta call BA up to see if they could ticket such an itinerary. Even AM can't issue the ticket online, you gotta call their agent as well.

Does your company have some special fares with CX :p I actually dislike flying on CX for any route other than HK/USA because of the connection. Unless I want to include HKG as a stopover, I would usually find a direct flight.

flights originating from uk airports have the highest airport taxes.

0-2,000 miles: £12 for economy or £24 for premium
2,000-4,000 miles: £60 for economy or £120 for premium
4,000-6,000 miles: £75 for economy or £150 for premium
6,000+ miles: £85 for economy or £170 for premium

By booking business for return leg, your ticket includes the highest possible airport tax!

One way to avoid that would be to fly to the nearest non-uk airport (FRA / CDG) on a seperate ticket and book a business from there to SIN. Am not sure of the taxes there but should be much lower than LHR.

Actually other airports charges in Europe also quite expensive, not to mention time wasted and cost for additional ticket.

I am thinking about Germany too.
London really too hard to redeem and very high airport tax, I personally think not really worth it.

Can fly to London and come back from Paris. To avoid the high airport tax from LHR.

Expensive? It's biz class wor...maybe you should accumulate till you can redeem all in biz class. Then you will still be paying ard $1700 but 2 pax biz return tickets to lhr, you might not think its so exp then.
