Like United Global Quality Growth Fund and some of the technology fund will beat S&P500. This year FSSA dividend advantage did very badly
Ya, my FSSA and Schroeder are very bad. I have Philiip Global Quality fund, not bad.

Time and time again we learn the lesson called diversification. Be it among funds, ETFs, bank account, investment platform etc. But if too many how to manage, administer them efficiently on top of your full-time job etc can be a challenge and hence robo advisors and other mechanism appear every now and then.

yes S27 is the most efficient way to gain access to S&P 500 using SRS.

Jan onwards the lot size for sgx will be changed to 1 unit share. Makes it easier to allocate full srs balance to it.
seems no trading volume. if buy next time sell is easy?

Hopefully liquidity will improve when its changed to 1 share (min size) on Mon......
looks like liquidity for last 2 days have indeed improved.

especially now can place limit order within 10% range. last time 30 ticks was like 0.1%.

probably if u place a limit order near to the bid-ask quote should be able to get filled. otherwise can do long dated order if you intend to buy at 1-2% away form the current price.

Im thinking to buy s27 with vickers using srs funds approx S$17k. However it seems that the volume on sgx is rather low. Some concerns over whether easy to sell in the future. Any advice

There should always be ppl willing to buy it. It’s about how much you are willing to sell it at.

so selling shouldn’t be a problem.

but selling at the price you want it at may be an issue.

Let me give an example.

Bid: $453.70
Ask: $455.74

The spread is huge!! I think it is a problem la with this kind of liquidity.

Ok if:

(1) You don't mind kana lowball
(2) You buy and sell in 10 years

Thanks. I was deciding between endowus's lion global infinity US500 and s27. The robos do make the execution much easier for noobs.

Assuming the spread is $2. How much is the loss in terms of opportunity. Furthermore, the exchange is hopeless also

I just chose S27 today. Since this is money i will touch 20 years later, so any 0.3% gains over 20 years is going to be pretty significant amount.......

Also maybe SPDR may do a fee cut to, say 0.05%? Then the gains will be compounded. Ha

Let's say if you buy at 0.4% higher you would have loss instantly. U have to consider this 0.4% when we evaluate?

but 0.4% is just one off. you don’t incur it yearly.

0.3% Additional fees from Lion infinity/ endowus get repeated and compounded annually. Hence over the long run, S27 wins hand down. Also because there is deeper order book for S27 since the lot size and forced order range change, spreads is closer to 0.20%-0.30%.

Hopefully more investors appreciate this and contribute to a more liquid etf market altogether.

And since S27 is held by SRS bank/CDP, there is less concern on whether the robo advisor would close shop, change its policies or do a fund switch years down the road.

Nope. No minimum.

So charges as such (assumed Cash Plus):

1 x USD 454 = USD454
POEMs SGD to USD x-rate = 1.35

Comm = 0.08%
SGX related charges = 0.0325% + 0.0075%
SGX Settlement charges = S$0.35/1.35 = USD 0.26

(USD454 x 0.12%) + USD 0.26 = USD 0.8048

in SGD = USD 0.8048 * 1.35 = S$1.087

Final charges = 107% (GST) * S$1.087 = $1.1625

Question was on the use of SRS.

Is S27 purchase fees based on cashplus?
