Not sure what is concern here and I find this very inaccurate.
As SSD when fail is not check through tools like Crystaldiskinfo.
When SSD fails is either Windows cannot boot or the SSD cannot be detected.

Or random blue screen during copying of files etc.
Even manufacturer tool may not be accurate so the only way is to use
Crystaldiskmark to stress test the SSD.

Faulty SSD will crash during the stress test which is why I feel this info is misleading.
What should be concern is the wear level of SSD if SSD wear level drops very quickly
than should look what causes the issue.

Like fully using the SSD disk space, too much junk or Windows have issue.

I just checked and my batch from the last Q3 isn't showing any errors (3x 1TB SSD (970 Evo Plus, PM981A, 980 Pro)). 1x 980 from recently. Already read and wrote a total of 100TB+ on the 970 Evo Plus.

For the NVME SSD market, the other 90% of brands that simply paste their stickers on OEM drives probably have more "undiscovered" issues than this. From my experience, faulty computers sent in for repair with those types of drives have a high chance that the problem is due to those drives. But somehow, these issues also remain undiscovered, .

Anyway, SSD technically only has 3 or 4 brands in the market. The other different brands are basically using OEM reference designs.

I normally every 2 months will clear my windows cache, check ssd health, and clone the OS drive as backup just in case.

Used to have SSD for storage until it suddenly die without any warning.
At least for HDD, usually will heard click click click when its going off soon.

But now SSD is quite cheap, why not get 2 for RAID since its being used for storage..
