Pasir ris punggol grc isn't as strong as it seems because they face weak opponent.

If they face wp, i expect pap to garner 55-58 percent votes and will make tch sweat.

Even sun xueling, a very popular and well respected mp in punggol West, only got 60 percent votes against a recently parachuted wp tan chen chen. Gathering 40 percent votes in a pap stronghold is higher than the combined votes of both sda and pv.

Yes. The GR in Punggol west was expecting at least a 65-70% win for sxl. But sorry, limpei don’t vote based on how my mp take photos with kids.

Wtf can she help me in parliament? I don’t her help in my daily life.

His ward in sengkang west had more than 50% leh.

ironically LPM turn out to be the member that score the highest amongst the 4 even though he took a lot of heat over the PMD issue.

the only newbie in the team of 4, raymond lye, tia gong was some grassroot leader/chairperson for punggol east side -> what happen to his score? didn't go well or score got pulled down by sentiments?

plus NCM who was parachute from PPG - can't really fault him if his scores for his 1/2 of seng kang central division still turn out low
Amir Amin totally came to unfam territory -> he was also suppose to take care 1/2 of sengkang central -> also didnt score well?

Sun Xue Ling star power is too strong. She connects very well with her ward's residents and is always ready to help. Even those Punggol residents not within her own ward can go to her MPS and she will do her best to help them.

Even then, it was shocking that she got only 60% of the vote against an untested Worker Party newbie.

There are other reasons for the poor showing which are entirely out of Sun Xue Ling's control. If you stay Punggol West you will know the reasons.

You must understand that not all residents need the help of mp. Those staying in ECs and condos don’t really need mps. It’s what the mp can do in parliament.

Limpei don’t need wayang mps taking photos with kids hor.

What is your observation on why PAP lost Sengkang GRC?

1. Because of Jamus Lim's effect?
2. Because of new and young Voters wanting an or more alternative voices in Parliament?
3. Because of Lam Pin Min (Two Big blunders)
The Crematorium issue and the PMD Issue.
4. Others.

:s12::s12::s12:

#3 does not apply cause sinkies have short term memory :s13:

To the ppl of sengkang, whether they have mp no mp also no difference. Why? Because pap mps don’t walk the ground.

Not true but yes, young people in general are already very pissed with PAP. But if the oppo not strong, don't think we will see that much of swing voters towards oppo.

Aiya essentially every single play in the pap playbook was undone

It's 2020 already, time to learn that everything you do can and will be dug out. Gutter politics / IB games / hypocrisy is a huge turn off. Your stranglehold on the media is irrelevant now with social media. Sinkies are not stupid nor afraid of you anymore. The appearance of knowing it all is a sham, especially after covid

Time to rebuild the system from bottom up.

SK GRC is made up of 3 parcels:

SK-West
(LPM) - The Columbarium issue didn't kick him out in last GE. But the food delivery on PMD issue have angered many. Partly because of PAP overall policies that so many people are doing food delivery for living.

The columbarium issue affected 3 estates (generally most haven't shift in last GE so voters are voting in their former residence grc/smc), currently those affected are absorbed into amk grc so probably is pmd issue. Oh but his tone during the columbarium meeting with residents my hubby told me that lam was talking down and that time was like residents were stupid at that point when he became impatient - something like "didn't i just clear up that point, why are you all guys going round in circles"

He brought in other issues like residents complaining to him why not childcare, why not hawker etc - as if residents are very demanding and will never be satisfied. If this is his normal way during meet people session - not hard to figure why unpopular. Remain in power only because of poor opposition. While he did put in efforts to org a meeting, it was just to clarify rumours and yet residents dig out more of the winner bidding company.

Hello... lpm got the highest score among the 4, his ward is the ** ward that nearly spoiled the show.
Those that voted strongly against him in fernvale side was absorbed into amk.

why everybody talks about PMD but never thought of healthcare workers?
i wonder how would most of the healthcare workers at the frontline vote? LHL and gang holding election during this pandemic is simply adding burden to them, yet all they received were some CLAPPING session. :s22:

I know of a couple of Healthcare workers voted for the hammer.. But the sample size is to small to draw a conclusion
