For those of you who are on the 2.2% promotion, may I know if you have received a bonus interest for September? thanks

You should have received partly, the last part will be paid around 20th of the month as I have asked SCB before.

Wait so can I just leave the e$aver alone and not have to suffer fall-below charges? They won't take it out of my credit card?

And then when you come back in for the promo they don't hit you with accrued fall-below?
I never get fall below fees when I leave my accounts with zero balance until it became dormant, then I apply for activation. OCBC never charge 360 with zero balance. Other banks I not sure.

yup same. For esaver, no negative balance, no crawl back, not sure abt linked cc charge if any
I cleared out like more than 1-2yr ago until it became dormant.
Aint advocating playing with fall below balances, i simply cleared out and cant be bothered to head down branch just to close account i.e im fine even if system/bank close my accounts
It was only recently when SCB started matching market interests where i had to call-in for re-activation

Someone share Maybank preempt this game by disallowing one to use app or ib to withdraw until 0. It always hold on to I think $5? There was a reader complain so much until forced to go down branch to close it becuz if not the bank slowly deduct $2 from the amount that cannot be withdrawn. So I think this game depend on the bank.

Thanks brahs. This is a lot more convenient than going down to the branch to shutter it, plus it nicely sets a $0 balance for the Nov promo.

I think internet banking can withdraw till 0? Anyway the maximum the bank can deduct is just $5.

not sure what u mean by linked cc charges.
But SCB is best in waiving CC annual fees, will auto waive a few days before annual fee is due :s19: Sent me SMS on waiver.

Hi guys. I’m new to Esaver (yet to open an account). Can someone explain how it works? From what i gathered it’s like a 1 month game where you park some cash and take the bonus interest at month end? Then switch your money out to another bank and come back later for another round of bonus interest?

Maybank will hold $10 based on my experience with them few years back. You have to forgo this $10 if u don't go down branch to close and choose not to keep min bal they required. So I actually went down to close it as the interest rate back then was low, have not opened back since then. Now RHB and SCB serving better rates, so not GG to open MB unless no choice

Mine was this from mar 22. Super complicated and I really cannot follow.
Yes. Without the full details, it's confusing. :s11: Just sharing what I got from SCB here in which I wasn't aware that the Bank will payout the highest bonus interest between the 2 promotions:

There are 2 e$aver campaign running the same time for all clients and the selected clients.
The bonus interest will be paid out in 2 tranches – Month end which is on 30th or 31st & 20th of the following month.
  1. e$aver promo for all clients (with comparison month) : Bonus interest payout on month end.
  2. e$aver promo for selected clients (based on daily average balance of the month): Additional bonus interest payout on 20th of the following month.
The Bank will payout the highest bonus interest between the 2 campaign. :)

Am confused. For esaver (i know there's alot of discussion), from the website 0.05+1.95% for amount of $1M.
https://www.sc.com/sg/save/savings-accounts/esaver/
But I see there's mention of 2.2%, 2.7% & 2.8%, are these for FDs or amount >$1M?

I dont have $1M. So many multimillionaire in edmw ah!

Can anyone clarify what is the best rates (new funds $200k) for esaver (non priority) so far?

Thanks

eSaver is what your link shows as 2% curently, those 2.2%...2.8% are invited only unless you have the email from SCB.

As mentioned, esaver public rate 2%.
2.2% / 2.8% email invites are mostly triggered by funds "in + out activities" to "re-invite" back customers

Actually eSaver minimum balance 1k vs Maybank iSavvy minimum balance 500 means when they hold those bonus interest promotion we get lesser incremental ADB for eSaver. 500 cannot see anything I understand but still for some ppl hmmm
