they been doing this every year for a few years though and its the first time they crash. though its normal that slots are all taken up within 5- 10minutes of opening, its the same for dbs/posb also. except dbs/posb is smart that they separate the booking form from the main banking app or internet banking functions.
I thought SCB in the past only allow priority banking clients to reserve? This round for public hence it crashes?

All along open to all their customers.

I had to wait long last 2 years. No separate Q from others doing normal transactions. Priority no use.

This year I switch to another branch to see if it is better.

Last year, there was like 10 people in front of me. Counter process very slow. When I am next, all counters did not call customers for 10 min. One teller was chatting with the cleaner. So I called out to ask what is wrong then they call my number.

Tampines branch. I think something is wrong with this branch. All these years everytime I go need to wait very long. So this year I switch to another branch to see if it is better.

i see ..
past few years have been using dbs to get new notes.
although their branch is crowded, processing is very fast and Q move rapidly.

DBS will prepare your requested amount beforehand. When you arrive they ask you enter atm card and pin and your NRIC. after you provide atm card and enter pin , they will just pass you the prepared amount in an enveloped and thats it.

Problem with Standard Chartered Tampines is that no separate Q for reserved notes and other transactions. They don't have those ambassadors like DBS to help out.

But I strongly suspect the staff at Tampines branch snake. Not crowded but they are slow. After serving each customer they will stop for a few minutes before calling the next customer. Let's see how other branch fare.

Anyone receive the promo rate beyond Jan? My both accts didn't get anyone
If SCB is able to maintain the existing promotion then you can still swap between your accounts for this, not bad already for 3.6% currently.
