Looks like Feb rates are all below 2.9% (SCB, Maybank and CIMB).

There is still 2 hours left for anyone interested in locking in the rates under the CIMB January promotion. The January promotion gives you 3.2% until end Mar. Just need to transfer $5k.

Guys I don’t want to do the marathon saver promotion. If normal esaver, is it today need to switch esaver account? I lost track already cos I was on marathon saver for a while.

Feb to end Mar is 2.9% for public rate. Those marathon saver and exclusive invitation are lower than or equal to this rate for one of the months. Wrong move I made and I should have stuck to the transfer between my esavers to take the public rate and kept my Jan adb at $0 for one of the esavers.
Just wondering how SCB going to differentiate which promotion one participates in, the public one Bonus interest for Feb and Mar 2025 at 2.9% (base + BI) or the Exclusive Step Up (#ja25b) by invitation for Jan to Mar 2025 starting with 2.8 to 2.85 and 2.9% (base +BI). More keen on the public rate since it is higher in Feb though it is based on incremental ADB.

esaver will give promotion interest if you are signed up, if not the default is public rate. That’s what’s stated in tnc.

Weirdly, I transferred in some money into my esavers at the start of Jan (not on Marathon promo). I've only received the usual account interest (0.05%) but not the full ~2.8% esavers interest on 31st Jan. Anyone else the same? Is there a problem?

In the past the normal esavers bonus interest (non marathon promo) used to be credited at the same time at the end of the month.

Now bonus interest only come in on following months even on public promotion. Change was a few months ago.

Oh, didn’t realise that. Thanks for confirming. Got a little frightened with all the changes that I somehow failed to meet some new tnc with the latest month.

The last time it was paid on the same date was before I registered for the marathon promo. So it was 30th Sept 2024, based on my past statements.

Earlier in the day, I transferred 200k limit from cimb to posb and posb to ocbc which is paying 3.3% for priority account.

Next I tried transferring 200k limit from maybank to Standard Chartered Bank. The transfer failed on 4 tries and even the transfer from sif and ocbc to SCB failed. I tried calling SCB but the line said call working day :(

Since cannot transfer from maybank to SCB as fresh fund, I transferred 50k to sif and 150k to posb today from maybank to minimise losing some interest.

Surprisingly sif allowed me to add payee and allowed me to transfer 50k to ocbc within minutes. Not only that, it allowed me to increase the daily transfer limit to 200k. Had I known that I would have transfer that 150k from maybank to sif which I can then transfer to ocbc within the same day, instead of to posb which I can only transfer out tomorrow due to today's daily limit.

Wef Apr 2025, all these kind of transfers clearing entire balances will be delayed till banks verify that it is done by you.

Edit : Should be wef 16 Jun 2025 (6 mths from 16 Dec 2024)

Hope the banks are contactable then. They used to be 24/7 but nowadays they only operate certain hours, some even on weekdays only.
