Priority Banking Clients:
  • SGX: 0.18% brokerage rate
  • Other Markets: 0.20% brokerage rate
  • Minimum Brokerage Amount: $0
Personal Banking Clients:
  • SGX: 0.20% brokerage rate

  • Other Markets: 0.25% brokerage rate

  • Minimum Brokerage Amount:
    • $10 for shares traded in AUD, CHF, GBP, SGD, and USD (plus GST)

    • ¥1000 for shares traded in JPY (plus GST)

    • $100 for shares traded in HKD (plus GST)
If there is no minimum brokerage fee for priority banking I will probably get 100 units of stock and park to earn the additional 0.5% interest. 😜

If that is the case, it will be just opening the acct to enjoy June promo and then keep $500 to maintain the acct and look at elsewhere to park.
Yes that is correct. Thats what Im doing too since 2.8% with a high cap is considered very high liao. Wait until last week of June then start finding for better lobangs again.

I will open an online trading account instead and buy a bit of shares Easier as my primary purpose is to fulfill the wealth holding criteria.

Following ur previous reply entry, not sure whether u r referring to bonussaver, u need to purchase at least $20,000SGD to qualify for the 1.5% add-on interest tier.
just in case the rest are confused with esaver wealth holding criteria and bonussaver. For the esaver, it din state any minimum and the criteria is to have wealth holdings.

My SC priority RM told me self initated trades do not count.

You have to purchase their products, example, those that are link to Prudential.
Please refer to the actual t&cs: https://av.sc.com/sg/content/docs/sg-esaver-account-tnc.pdf

4. “Customers with wealth holdings” are defined as customers who hold either an Eligible Investment Product or Insurance Product purchased through the bank. An “Eligible Investment Product” refers to (i) Unit Trust(s), (ii) Bonds, (iii) Structured Notes, or (iv) Equities.

5. Your eligible Bonus Interest Rate is assessed based on your wealth holdings at the end of each calendar month during the promotion period.

Did your RM have a different interpretation of the t&cs ?

That was what she said to me. She knows I have lots of equities all self purchased thru SC.

Do you have another RM telling you differently, or you are just reading the words?
