If this is my first time opening SCB esaver account, is funds transferred from SCB bonusaver account considered as fresh funds?

Why risk it? Just transfer it out and back in to esaver.
actually even if one transfer from BonusSaver to another bank and then back to eSaver as "fresh funds" is also questionable. As in Jul 2022/part of Aug 2022, on record, he has $X in bonus saver. And suddenly the $X amount appear in eSaver and almost $0 (or min balance) at Bonus Saver

I asked a CSR online. Said esaver to esaver can't work
dont sabo la..it a hidden secret , now still can work why u go ask later they go fix

based on T &C of cos it shldnt work, that is the model ans the CSR or RM should always give even if he knows it works.

Real experience: a few years back, a new RM told me why not invest with other products than to put it in the eSaver. I told her that I was earning my promo interest and she replied me that it couldn’t work if it was from one acct to another. Guess what? From then till now, it works every promo period.

well at the end of day even if it still works, guess it is still a risk one has to take, since you wont know whether it counts till the end of the month when the interest comes in. Also they have a right to claw back the interest.

so if one is afraid , then go park your money somewhere else, no need to ask whether this kind of loophole still working as the T&Cs are very clear. as even if working, they may also claw back your interest if you so scared.

hey, to those who received the 1.8% until March 2023 promotion... is it as simple as just dumping in $100k on 31 August over 31 July end-of-day balance and we'll qualify throughout?

no holding period?

so on 1 September I can take out the $100k and subsequently I'll still enjoy the 1.8% on the account balance, right?

also, another question is... does this promo stack with the current Aug-Sep promo of 1.45% (or 1.5%)? so we enjoy double promo (0.05% + 1.75% + 1.45%)??? i know i'm a bit greedy but... well, anything is possible right lol.

u wish, they will take whichever is the higher for the period. e.g now 1.8% till march 2023, but if in oct it increase to 2%+ then you will get 2%+ instead of 1.8%

you can dream that it is stacked .... 0,05 + 1.75 + 1.45 :)

correct ... just ensure end of day 31 Aug 2022 balance is at least $100,000 more than Jul 31 balance. On 1 Sep, you can do whatever you want with the $100,000. Actually the $100,000 is sort of like indicate to SCB that this "by invite" account has accepted and will be participating in this promo.

Thought I would get 1.8% but got only 1.5%, it seems that withdrawing from e-saver 2 months ago & redepositing doesn't count as fresh funds ?

U received the invitation email for 1.8%? Have u check with them yet?

For me, firstly, didn't expect the bonus interest to be in so soon. That's a surprise, good job, SCB.

Secondly, I faced the same issue as u, the amount is not right. Not sure is it they did the generic 1.5% for everyone first, then the 0.3% at a later date.

Yes, in the app. I don't think they will pay the 0.3% later as the bonus interest is 1.75%, not sure.
