How did u receive acc no. so fast?
I applied on Monday afternoon, then after an hour received email say application is successful but i can only see last four digit of acc no.,
then after a few hours i received temp ID by email, which indicates i will receive the password by sms within one working day.
until tue afternoon still didn't receive pw, so i called hotline, and cso resend me new temp ID and pw by sms.
When i managed to log in to their internet banking, ask me set mobile key. becos without that, i can't see my full account number even after i logged in.
SO i set mobile key, AND THEN after that it says i can only log in again 12 HOURS LATER after setting mobile key.
:s22:
fed up, i went down to their vivo city branch, thinking to get an ATM card for this acc, then was told this is eSaver acc, no cards will be given.
LoL~
so i went to the counter to make a small deposit in order to get my account number from the teller.

That's my story two days ago,
JUST to get my account number in order to transfer fund over.
🙄
might as well open esaver account at branch

Anyone knows what happens after 31 jan? I'm new to esavers. Will the interest rate revert back to 0.05? Thanks.

Either they will revert or they have a new promotion but based on the average daily balance for January so those who had the money there up to 31 Jan won't benefit.

In any case, you will still need to do the musical chair of transferring out from Esaver to another bank.
Unless ofc you have received invitation of 2.8/3.5%

Based on the eSaver decade of historical promotion, the educated guess is the same promotion based on incremental fresh fund with Jan 2023 as reference month will continue. :)

The bonus interest rate may remain at current 3.75% or revised. Having another eSaver account with super low ADB for month of Jan 2023 will allow you to take full advantage of the promotion. ;)

This is like the same concept applied to RHB of the other thread too isn't it? Open multiple accounts to take advantage of the low ADB.

Yes. The good thing is SCB's bonus interest is paid within days of month end.
Agree so is Maybank iSavvy, SIF GoSavers. For RHB always see post readers cross checking with each other received bonus already or not. I am one of them too make me feel like a beggar begging RHB for the bonus when will you give so disappointing.

Of cuz but feeling of being a beggar beg for monies is in my mind for my case. Also explain why I never put 100% of my monies with RHB just put some.
The 2 savings account (HSBC and RHB) without frills need to wait long for the interest. As long as it comes just have to wait.

It is ok for me as I am still working but for some retirees or not working ppl maybe depend on such bonus interest for their monthly allowance then too bad eat porridge and bread for the time being while waiting.

as long as the delay is consistent, after the first delay, every month thereafter will get the "delayed" effect.
so its inconsequential, except for the first delay

Can always draw down from the savings account if needed.

You think people 全副身家 put into one bank meh? For me no amount of interest can make me do that. Earn lesser no problem, I rather diversify into multiple banks.

Thanks. Do you mean transfer the balance from one esaver to another esaver account? As in a family member's esaver account? So just transfer back and forth? :D
