The comparison is needed becuz the capital is huge 100K. UOB salary easily simulated only other factor is the 500 spending which may come in the form of gift topup for e.g. If I have 100K cash on hand I definitely will research and spend more effort. But for me at all times monies are diversified into various investment instruments so does not apply for me.

Of cuz some readers want to play it safe, don't wanna crack head how to simulate salary, spend 500 then yes eSaver this special invite is no frills indeed.

Not everyone has so much money to play with, or may want to use other cc for certain reasons like earning air miles.

Also many retirees have 1m or more, but no income, so cannot play the uob game.

If can afford, who does not want to use every tools to grow their money tree?

New promo, read the T&Cs until blur blur.
So actually is how many % pa if put $100K till Jan 24 for existing customers?

100k hold 2 months, $500 cash back is 3% pa

20k or 50k is 2.4%pa

but cashback is limited to first 1500 qualifying accounts only !!

SC introduced new term "Period End (PE) Balance" ... first time see such a term

I thought is 3 months - including the month used to calculate the PE. If so, then will only yield 2%.. anyway skip, too confusing. put FD or tbill less hassle.

I do not know why someone wants to compare orange vs apple.

one needs to giro salary and spend using their credit card. one is straight forward dump and earn interest. no need to do this and that. and also max $100k to earn interest.

esaver up to $5m can earn 3.7%. 2 totally different program.

yah I keep seeing such posts with all these T&C to do then can get the 5% interest. It makes no sense to spend more just to get a bit more interest back. I suspect these people are working for UOB One.

For most working adult, it's quite easy to spend 500/month. For 100k the UOB One pays 5% EIR. These people unlikely work for UOB but know basic math 😂

The sour ones are the retirees who don't spend that much each month and make bashing comments

This is a good example of spending more than you earn, ie earn $400+ interest but need to spend $500 to earn it, but console themselves it helps them defray their lifestyle costs! :ROFLMAO:
