Hi I received notification on my scb apps on esavers at 3.6% until March . Does this mean I get this rate or it’s just a promotion advertisement

There is a current promotion on for Feb to Mar 2024 for public that is dependent on the incremental ADB to earn the bonus rate of 3.6% (as compared to Jan ADB).

For the exclusive invitation, it would mention to have end of day balance of >100K as at end Feb as compared to 31 Jan EoD balance to qualify for the bonus rate of 3.6% for entire balance. This exclusive invitation promo is from Feb to Apr 2024. You may wish to read in detail the notifications, which one it meant.

My own take of SCB this current public 3.6% in total promo can take some out put into Mari Invest which has been improving as times go by. Diversification is what I mean. But of cuz for exclusive need that 100k so stay put.

Deposit on Tue bah .. let your $ earn interest at the current bank account.
think if you deposit into SCB today, probably will reflect as 13 Feb.
you can deposit a small amount to test out.

hi anyone know about the latest promotion for esaver?

e$aver Savings Account Bonus Interest Promotion (1 February 2024 to 31 March 2024)

From now till 31 March 2024, earn up to 3.60% p.a. interest on eligible deposit balance of S$2 million with no lock-in period when you bring in incremental fresh funds* (compared to January 2024 average daily balance)

https://www.sc.com/sg/save/savings-accounts/esaver/#sc-lb-module-fee-and-rate

does this mean that after 31 March 2024, the interest will drop back to its prevailing rate which is 0.05% pa?

or will the 3.60% pa continue after 31 March 2024? just that we have to sign up before 31 March 2024?

Yes, the current promotion gives a bonus 3.55% PA

Depends if SC wants to extend it as a new cycle.

If you have account, just deposit your monies

i am thinking if it is usually only 0.05% pa and promotion dun come often then it is totally not worthwhile as i would deposit elsewhere where the interest rate is higher than 0.05% and no need depend on random promotion.

if u refer to the 1st page of this thread, the promotion has been around since jun 2015 and even earlier. i wont call a promotion that has cycle after cycle over 8 years as random.

If you musical chair between 2 eSaver accounts (joint & single), this is better that Tbill because interest rate is better and cash is liquid. You also save one day of interest for Tbill application. 6M Tbill in my view only makes sense if above 3.5% if using eSaver as an option?

Funded in beginning of Jan, Feb still can get the rate? These days is 1 month or 2 months?
Any tips on pinging the RM to get the extended period invitation for Priority members? Have never gotten it before.

For ur case, very unlikely that u will get the 3.6% for the amount u funded since Jan, because the new promo period starts from Feb 24 to end Mar 24 and on incremental balance only. U will get 3.6% on incremental balance only with reference to the ADB of Jan 24.
I doubt priority customers will get extended or special treatment even if they go to their RM. The promo criteria is what it is.
