  • ^“Customers with wealth holdings” are defined as customers who hold either an Eligible Investment Product(s) or Eligible Insurance Product purchased through the bank at the end of each calendar month during the promotion period.

if shares counted too easy to fulfil lei.. think not as simpur ..
SCB ownself defines shares of publicly listed companies as equities. There is no minimum stated like HSBC promo. Maybe everybody is just overthinking… why all want to overthink when the tnc does not state any minimum amount etc

June buy 1 share of AAPL then sell
July buy 1 share of AAPL then sell
Why AAPL? Cos saferest dun have a lot of fluctuation unlike the others

My interpretation of this is you gotta be holding a share bought through SCB at the end of each calendar month.

And not have to purchase every month.

What if already have equities in SCB trading but no activity in Jun?
I asked CSO and either they don't know or they don't want to answer, just ask me refer back to RM as they are not familiar with Investment . I would expect just keep the existing shares should be good enough.

What’s the definition of “Customers with wealth holdings”?
Customers with wealth holding are defined as customers who hold either an Eligible Investment Product or Insurance Product purchased through the bank. An “Eligible Investment Product” refers to (i) Eligible Unit Trust(s), (ii) Bonds, (iii) Structured Notes, or (iv) Eligible Equities.
Your eligible Bonus Interest Rate is assessed based on your wealth holdings at the end of each calendar month during the promotion period.
So whats the cheapest UT, at the lowest unit avail to "hold"? :o

Ya then you end up clocking USD 20 in brokerage charge per month, negating any extra interest earned :spin:

(Unless you are Priority Banking customer)

Below is the exact wordings from the t&cs:

https://av.sc.com/sg/content/docs/sg-esaver-account-tnc.pdf

4. “Customers with wealth holdings” are defined as customers who hold either an Eligible Investment Product or Insurance Product purchased through the bank. An “Eligible Investment Product” refers to (i) Unit Trust(s), (ii) Bonds, (iii) Structured Notes, or (iv) Equities.

5. Your eligible Bonus Interest Rate is assessed based on your wealth holdings at the end of each calendar month during the promotion period.

It is clear that you can buy once & just hold it, OR buy/sell multiple times but always ensure there is something remaining at each month-end.
