if it will not go negative, then maybe just leave the account open.
every month transfer 1 cents into the acct for it to deduct and to have some movement so that it wont auto-close :D

why waste 1 cent?

jus give 1 thrust of $10 in, then pull out immediately every 6 mths to keep it alive.

Hi SCB hater,

You probably dont understand this. There is a $5 fall below fee every month. Your $10 cannot last 6 months. :s13:

You didn't get him. He meant to avoid inactivity in the account so the $10 is deposit for 1 second and withdrawn immediately. Do that every 6 month.

I don't think it will work. The fall below fee may not have gone negative for this time only, next month maybe it will start to go negative. Anyone willing to try?

don't think it will work. esaver used to be able to have zero balance. i think this was changed recently. you cannot withdraw all balance. you have to leave 1cent in the account.

i see. but whats the point? just wasting your time and their resources.

i dont think will go negative. also depends on their definition of no activity. average daily balance is zero for 6 months. can be considered as no activity because there is no change in daily balance. just IMO

I have called std chrt, the cso said will refund the $5 on next working day.

Telling him the letter they sent us indicate $1k by 28 Aug.

And they knowledged that.

Believe many had called to ****** them regarding the above.

Ya this part is misleading.
They might as well have stated $1k average daily balance from 1 Aug instead.

I reported them to mas. They refused to refund me when I called in and I had to shout at 2 idiots who kept repeating that min avg daily balance is calculated by month

You can chill cos you probably weren't the first to call in. They insisted it was my fault I didn't understand their definition of avg daily balance.

I can't chill because it's not about the $5. It's about the sheer number of $5 they could extract from people who either didn't challenge their argument like I did or didn't even check their statements
