Thanks! Starhub should consider changing their app to allow display of data usage for all lines in a single page so that it is easier for subscribers with multiple lines to monitor usage.

My StarHub app can select default line on the per device basis, dk why they didn't implement it on their Giga app :s13:

Giga app very buggy. I suddenly got this fear my line just get terminated by itself and I lose my personal number seeing the number of glitches there are in the app... Not very good for coy image if they can't even get basic things like browsing your lines data usage etc right, and also getting riddled with errors while trying to navigate between pages in the app itself.

Did you discovered lots of glitches, such as? I used the app to check on 2 lines for couple of months and didn't face any problem at all.

Maybe you can feedback to Giga team since you are concerned with losing your number? Anyway, not sure how one can "lose" one's number.... :o

Their app is buggy, but this shouldn't be a cause for worry that the line will get terminated for the wrong reason. Cos the line itself is stable.

What happens when you cancel a line without any port in request to other telco. Does your number just disappear? I'm probably confused with this part

Line will be cancelled at the end of its billing cycle.

After that, it will be listed as follows:

Ah I see. I was just worried that the number would just disappear along with the line. Seems like my worry was unfounded then. Thanks

But I dun get your question too. Since u said u gonna cancel the line, then what right do u have to retain that number after the line's cancellation is complete?

When the line is cancelled, giga will just recycle the number to another new subscriber.

Like I said, the app is buggy. And the cancel line option is easily accessible from the app, though I have never used it before. It would be troublesome if the app decided to glitch on that function even though I didn't trigger it.

I just switched from Singtel combo plan to Giga $10 plan. I do noticed the speed of doing SafeEntry check-in and out is so much slower.

I have a question. I have 3 lines under Giga, each SIM card on different phone, how do I use the Giga App and each one show the number for each phone? When I set the default number, all phones show the same default.

The speed comparison should be between StarHub and Giga! To ascertain if StarHub did throttle some of the bandwidth given to Giga!

I also have 3 giga! lines under my account, each SIM card on different phones. How do you use your Giga app? My giga app can display all three lines. I just need to select the line and the app will display all the information pertaining to that line. I can switch to another line, and it will display the information for the other line. But sometimes the app is slow to load.

Cancel line needs additional options to tap in addition to that initial tap. So if u do tap the "cancel line" option, nothing will happen as long as u dun do the subsequent steps.

Even if u somehow managed to cancel the line, u can still approach the giga live agent to cancel the cancellation.

Wah, I got one giga number that completed the number port in just now, but all the while there was no SMS sent to either the port in number nor the temporary number.

And now I couldn't even log in to the website, nor the app.

But nevertheless, I'm glad that the port in was done so soon, cos the previous mobile plan was simply costing too much, so good to ditch it liao.

I don't have a starhub line to compare so the only way I know Giga is slower is from my experience of using Singtel. In any case, the Giga plan suits my usage so I will continue to use it until it is unbearable.

I understand how you use the app, the preferred way for me though is that the app should detect the phone number of the app is installed in (or allow me to indicate the default for this phone) and show the usage information without having to keep switching the default line.

Giga app is updated this morning and everything works quite quickly, hopefully it will stay good for now.

As far as I know, the traffic light telcos will do a refund of the unused portion of your subscription depending on the date u port out.

Outside of this, the MVNOs will not do a refund, so bear this in mind in future if u do decide to port out of giga or any other MVNO. So for this latter case, try to port out a few days before the billing cycle (giga requires 3 days notice before your billing cycle to terminate subscription so remember to port out before this).
