Depends on how much data you use. You're essentially paying $7 for an extra 10GB (over the $18 for 50GB 'pop-up' plan*). If you are consistently averaging about 60+GB, then this plan would make sense. Any less, with the roll over data & the regular free bonus data offers, the $18 for 50GB plan is probably more suitable.
*The $18 plan is not listed on their list of regular plans but 'pops up' very regularly. If you don't see it, wait a week or 2 & it will be available. Next available date, according to their website is 2-8 March.
I am attracted to the 2,000 call and SMS vs 500. I may switch to the $18 plan for my other line. There is a promo tomorrow. (Presently that line is using myRepublic $18, 50G, 1,000 call and SMS)
Don't use data that much, so may not have a no choice.
I was happy with myRepublic, it's just that they charged me an extra of $80 for 533 SMS (on top of the 1,000 free SMS in my plan, they said I have used 1,533 SMS in a month). I checked the SMS log on my phone, and ask the person that the sms was supposed to sent to but i cannot find 1,533 SMS is sent last month. The billing dept insisted that I had sent the SMS (suggested that it was long SMSes) and they offered to waive off this time.
The thing is they are not going to investigate further on this matter, and this is not the first time this had happened. I had paid off a few times over the years, from $50 to $100 for over used SMS. So I am sick of getting bill shock from MR.
