You mean the same account that buy the promo can use the promo on itself for a new line?
yes

So those ppl that took your codes could have purchased a code for their own use?U can buy and use it for yourself. I did that for my wife line
The promotion quite confusing and misleading, think most just assume that it require a different account to redeem. They market / promote it as gift giver and receiver. So those ppl that took your codes could have purchased a code for their own use?
So why are people asking for codes when they can buy on their own? Is it really just to save that $1?The promotion quite confusing and misleading, think most just assume that it require a different account to redeem. They market / promote it as gift giver and receiver.
imo doesn’t make sense that the same account that purchased the promotion can apply to itself for a new line.

Dunno. I assumed that those who asked for the code are not existing giga usersSo those ppl that took your codes could have purchased a code for their own use?
Likely don’t have giga account or just assume it needs to be gift giver and receiver. So why are people asking for codes when they can buy on their own? Is it really just to save that $1?
Imo it’s best to do it early as no one can guarantee the porting time. It can range from 1-7 days. Sometime got porting issue too.Would those who port over to Giga via gift codes help to post the turnaround time taken by Giga to port over from their existing telco?
This turnaround time is useful to those trying to gauge how far ahead they need to submit the port over request before their existing telco billing cycle.
i ported 4 lines over. all took 1 working day. they dont port over during weekends and PH.Would those who port over to Giga via gift codes help to post the turnaround time taken by Giga to port over from their existing telco?

i also noticed once you receive the card, they auto port over liao. means 1 day after you get the new sim card you can use your new line liao... before i even put in the new sim card and click on activate in the app, its already ported over. But my case might be isolated case...i ported 4 lines over. all took 1 working day. they dont port over during weekends and PH.
No it’s giga way. For giga if you enter your porting number during sign up, they will auto port over for you as soon as the sim is delivered.i also noticed once you receive the card, they auto port over liao. means 1 day after you get the new sim card you can use your new line liao... before i even put in the new sim card and click on activate in the app, its already ported over. So is there a timeline to activate the sim after receiving it? Can wait for a couple of weeks? Thanks. No it’s giga way. For giga if you enter your porting number during sign up, they will auto port over for you as soon as the sim is delivered.
However, if you want to time it yourself and port over later then you’ll need to take a new number during sign up. After receiving the new number you can take your time to activate and then port over.
Vivifi is different, you can port over during sign up and they won’t auto port over even after you collect the sim card. It will only port over after you activate the new sim card
If port over during sign up, might as well activate it quickly as your old line is dead. But if sign up new number, iirc can wait for few weeks. Maybe up to a month. So is there a timeline to activate the sim after receiving it? Can wait for a couple of weeks? Thanks.
Oh yah sorry forgot to add that it is a new line so can hold off activating for a couple of weeks. ThanksIf port over during sign up, might as well activate it quickly as your old line is dead. But if sign up new number, iirc can wait for few weeks. Maybe up to a month.
All giga plans are contract fee, so you won’t be tied to any contractAfter four months can cancel? Or tie to a contract?
Best to port over at point of sign up so number transfer is seamlessIf port over during sign up, might as well activate it quickly as your old line is dead. But if sign up new number, iirc can wait for few weeks. Maybe up to a month.
