Giga SMS that my port in of M1 number failed. M1 says no record of rejection at their end.

I connect to Giga live chat. The agent ask a few questions. Then ask me to send email and ended the chat just like that. Makes me wonder what their live chat is for.

My name and NRIC for M1 and Giga are the same. What could be wrong ? Can't find Giga whatsapp.

Maybe because of last name and first name. Eg john tan vs tan john...

Port-in came through last night. My M1 side is terminated. But my Giga still has issue. Could receive and make calls and receive SMS. However could not send SMS and data does not work. Have checked that APN settings is giga. And the Giga app still shows Giga number and not M1 ported number. Tried on a second phone. Same result.

Why Giga do things halfway..... Now still trying to contact Giga which is really difficult.

Hi. I just got my giga sim card. I don't have to activate it immediately right? The billing starts on the day of activation or delivery?

I can also port in my current M1 number to replace my given giga number at a later date right?

Yes you can, billing start the day activate the SIM card.

If you want billing cycle to start nicely by calendar mth activate on 1 Feb.

Can port in later using the app. I port in 6 weeks after activation.

My friend and I have the same problem when we shifted to Giga. SMS cannot be delivered to certain people. Anyone have the same problem? Will be porting out if these continue.

They will port in same night or next night at 11pm.

Do not port in near weekends or public holidays as Giga customer support don't work.

My port in from M1 was not smooth. I requested on Fri and they ported in on Fri night. Giga say M1 rejected. M1 say they did not. Went back to Giga and they tried port-in again on Sat night. This time it was half done. On Sun, calls in and out was OK. Incoming sms OK. But there was no data and outgoing sms. Giga app still shows Giga number instead of port-in number. I had to wait till Mon to connect to live agent who say they will get technical team to check. Problem resolved on Mon afternoon.

Use Giga app to get to chat live agent and ask them to resolve for you

Thanks vsvs24. I had wanted to port in on the 24th CNY eve cos my M1 contract ends on the 23rd. I think I'll wait until the cny hols are over instead.

On redone and myrepublic before. Same issues, feedback to the team since both first started till now.

Calls dropped and sms came in late.

is there multi sim service for giga, which means for the same number, you have 2 sim card which can be used in 2 different devices but is from the main line quota for talking minutes, sms and data allocated ?

MVNOs have no multi-SIM services.

Only Starhub & M1 offer multi-SIM

Singtel discontinued and so you can only use mobileshare now which is a new number
