Roaming is needed cos no network oversees mean no calls or sms. But not related to gigaroam which is for data only.

How to turn roaming on or off on the hp? Only know we can do that for data roaming.

M1 gave free roaming subscription when I have the hp plan with them. For Giga is it by default roaming is free?

They only have data roaming. If you require roaming, just stick with the traditional telcos.

If I am existing giga user and change to another Giga plan (eg $18 pop up plan) , will Giga send me a new sim card or I can use my existing sim card?

Oh dear. That’s another confusion again. If roaming is required to receive sms overseas and Giga does not have, then how do those who reported can receive sms do it?

Existing giga user here, no problem in receiving SMS while roaming in JB.

100% confirm using back same sim card. The change of sim card thing was completely false.

No confusion, stated clearly in their FAQ.

Incoming SMS while roaming = yes in 230 destinations
Outgoing SMS while roaming = no
Incoming Calls while roaming = no
Outgoing Calls while roaming = no

I switched from the $25 to the $18 dollars plan this month, carry on with existing SIM card.

You are not changing providers, why would it involve switching of sim cards ?

Just want to check. Understand when I switch plans my rollover will be forfeited. New plan will take effect in next billing cycle.

currently my data is 10gb(roll over from last month)+25gb

Question: The current month I will still enjoy 35gb of data till my new plan takes effect in the next cycle right?

you can check the giga app on your total data allowance for the month.

Everything will only take effect on the next cycle, whatever you have on the current cycle is safe.

If you are porting in, there is no need to cancel.

Simply inform the telco you want to switch to that you are porting in and the details (number and current telco) and it will be done within 1-2 working days of receiving SIM card.

Make sure your number is not prepaid, you have no outstanding bill and that number is tied to your NRIC

Hi I can ask u, I have just port over 2day ago why util now can't use data, I have follow the APN settings still same. Please advise
