What? Where did you get the "peak at 25" from?

From here:
unless u subscribe to the 1gbps then it's peak at 30

Source: StarHub - Broadband - homebroadband

Assured International Download Speeds

As a quality broadband provider, we endeavor to give our customers the best service experience possible.

Assured speed is now 20Mbps for 100Mbps cable and 100Mbps fibre plans, 25Mbps for 200Mbps and 300Mbps fibre plans and 30Mbps for the 1Gbps fibre broadband plan.

Hi Sadist,

I am using the same router but have yet to encounter that. Either that, or I don't notice it yet. Maybe you can try diagnose the router and connection on your side?

Else there is nothing much you can do other than contacting their customer support.

How fast can they enable my fibre broadband connection?

I requested for Direct ONT and the Starhub modem has installed already. Waiting for them to cancel away my cable broadband and activate my fibre broadband.

I'm not too sure about the cause, but changing dhcp frequency from aggressive to normal seems to have solved the problem.

dmstar: assured means "minimum". The max is the limit of the plan e.g. 100 = 100, 200 = 200, and so on. I've hit > 200 on the StarHub international speed test and > 150 on the Amazon USWest BBQ speed test. :) But I can see how the terminology can be misleading.

International bandwidth is the maximum achievable bandwidth when you surf websites hosted or routed outside of Singapore. Do note that actual bandwidth is dependent on hardware, software, signal strength of the wifi connectivity, Internet traffic and destination server.

Typical international speed for fibre plans: 100Mbps (20Mbps), 150Mbps (20Mbps), 200Mbps (25Mbps), 300Mbps (25Mbps) &* 1Gbps (30Mbps).

Hi,

Finally managed to convert my old dir 655 router to switch. Connected my main pc and x360 on it. And here's the speedtest...

5-1.jpg

so it's from tp - ont - n66u - htpc at living room - cat6 flat lan - dir655 as switch at study room - main pc and x360 at study room

How did you configure your n66? I'm having problems with the n66 configuration. When i set it to Auto, it shows as no internet connection, even though my VLANs have been setup as per what had been advise, i.e. 1071 Prio1

Hi there, I'm using 100mbs fibre Starhub broadband. Lan connection is fine. But through wireless connection is slow, I'm on Direct ONT and I'm using TL-WR1043ND

Any settings to set for my router? I didn't change any settings from my cable broadband, I simply connect from ONT straight to my router.

Thanks in advance.

Bryant_16, the router's capabilities make a huge difference.

The following is a wifi result using the Apple Extreme Gen 6 and a Mac, same room, 300m plan, local speedtest (intention was to test the wifi capabilities, not StarHub's international speed).
