Reading the experience of you guys here make my heart ache. I'm still on the old cable maxonline I think it's the 25mbps but I'm paying almost 60 per month still! This kind of case any idea what I can do?

Recontract lor. I'm sure yours over already. Even 100mbps cable at $39.90

Weird thing is that my contract isn't up yet. It is ridiculous that I'm paying the price for 300mbps fibre but I'm only getting 25mbps cable..

Strange. Mine was $40+ before contract expired. It reverted to $59.90 once contract over. That's when I rushed to recon to 200mbps fibre at $59.90 with free 6 months promo. That equals to $44.90 for 2 years.

Maybe you got some "free" gifts when you signed up?

I'm in for the 3 days promo on SH.
49.90 for 200mbps with 3 mths free.

Is it worth taking or wait for Comex? Scare later they give 300mbps @ 49.90 during comex.. which is what M1 is offering now.

I think if you have the patience then you wait. Eventually the major telcos will try to match their price plan be it a week, a month or a year from now. For me I can't wait because my contract already expired

Very unlikely that the RSPs will attempt to match m1's pricing - the latter apparently have nothing going for them apart from price. Have read horror stories of slow downs at night... Besides, bundling discounts offered by SH and ST have a very significant overall price impact anyway.

My speed is so slow.. only 50-70 mbs on homeplug for 100mbs fibre broadband.

Wireless even worse, 20-30 mbs only. Any idea if I switch my channel for my router, it will be faster. I'm on direct ONT.

Thanks in advance.

Download inSSIDer - it can tell you a lot. You'll be able to figure out channels etc from there.

Just got my fiber installed this week. Speed is ok and most pages load fast enough. However some websites take ages to load, for example the yahoo singapore homepage, it keeps connecting and then load after a few mins or doesn't load at all. I didn't have this issue with my old cable or adsl line. Anyone know the cause?

How come their re-contract offers even worse than their normal promotions? Last month they were offering $59.90 with 6 months free for the 200 Mbps which works out to $44.925 per month. Last week i remember they change the offer to $49.90 with 3 months free which works out to $43.66 per month. Both offers are better than what they offer for re-contract, luckily you never take up, or am i missing something here........

That is the only major selling point of M1's services all along.

Don't be fooled by them anymore.

Typical SH. Always wooing new customers and not appreciating their loyal customers. I've had enough of SH.

Reminds me of DDR2 RAM, which currently costs more than DDR3 RAM. They are phasing out cable by making it more expensive so that customers will obediently move on to fibre.

Wait for Comex. Definitely better offers than now. I've seen this happen for the past 6 years.
