Got my Starhub fiber conenction today. Hitting consistently around 50mbps up and down on Dlink 865L router. So far so good... need to test out more to see how it is performing. i am using 2.5ghz connection

on wired you should get 100Mbps (both ways) since your plan is on it.

the above imo, is 1/2 of what you paid for.

StarHub seems to have forgotten that I am an existing subscriber aside from its bills. My upload speed has not been upgraded to 100mbps yet.

Yea I know. but I am using laptop and would like to have the convenience of wireless. Moreover the router is in Living room and will have to lay cable and all for making it wired.
Its serving my purpose and there is considerable increase in speed compared to my earlier internet speed and So i am ok with it. :):)

ok cool. then no point asking if its "normal" or not. It serves no purpose because the speed is what you accepted. That is what matters :)

My house finally switched to fibre...

Starhub's Huawei modem and dlink dir-865l

i discovered something. you can only use port1 on the modem to connect to the router. if you try to connect directly from PC to modem, it doesn't work. port2 to router doesn't work either.

is it the same for everyone?
