Is it true Opennet need to reconfig the signal to our home when we request to change the older dlink gateway to the newer AC router? My friend have to be charged 230 to facilitated the change.

His plan is the TV/d.voice & fibre package.

From my limited understanding, yes, Starhub will request Nucleus Connect/Opennet to make the changes required, but this should be free.

Since you mentioned you are "changing" the old gateway, the fee is probably what Starhub charges you to get the new router plus installation. You can avoid that by using another router that you already have, or redeem it from Starhub with your points.

I have only heard of vlan tagging and reassignment of the associated MAC address. I don't think OpenNet should be involved at all.

I tried 3 files just now. One was OS X 10.9 DP.
The other two were HK drama. Around 3-4 in the afternoon?

I think you can't even plug a phone cuz there isn't any port

I would expect the 865l to have superior wireless performance. That's the only thing the 5402sp lacks

If the user requires voice, still can't use the Dlink AC router right?

If you require voice, most prob have to use an additional Voice Enabled Cable Modem (VeCM) separately for voice. Then Internet will be through the Dlink AC.

Followed VarunSG's advice but StarHub said that i could not get the 3000 points as i was upgrading from starhub cable broadband to fibre.
Has anyone successfully gotten the 3000 points? I do not want the free D-Link RG.

StarHub wants the re-contract proof that the 3000 point was given instead of the D-Link RG.

Yeah I've gotten the points already! Just re-contracted recently. Just call the sales hotline to do your recontract. If one asks for proof, just hang up and try again. It's written on their website with the promotion somewhere as well.

I upgraded from cable to fibre last month, and was offered either the RG or 3000pts, so what VarunSG said is correct.

What do you mean by re-contract proof that the 3000 point was given instead of the D-Link RG?
