Quick question guys, I was running Speedtest on Starhub's own page.

On the client side, it show Renjiao International Technology Corporation Ltd, instead of Starhub.

Is it normal? For as far as I know whenever I run speedtest, it shows my ISP is starhub, now, its this Renjiao International Technology Corporation Ltd.

Sat Starhub will come for second appointment. They will give me new router. But I want to use my own router. Do I need to call Starhub on this?

I understand that they are using a new router now which is worse than the one from huawei.

You are allowed to use your own router but may not want to - the new router is the best offered by any of the ISPs. It's a dual-band AC wifi router. The OLD gateway (not just a router) was the 5210... the 865 is way better.

If you decide to use your own router, call ahead and let the CSO know.

I agree that the AC router dir865L is the best free router offered by any ISP currently but if you need a stable connection and still on 2.4ghz, it is better to get asus N66 or ac66

At 5Ghz, it performance is awesome, but disappointing result at 2.4ghz

Yes, call their CSO. They may need to configure to direct ONT for you.

If there is a need to change from non direct ont to direct ont, you may need to wait a few more days.

m1 was giving away free ac66 with their plans a while ago... that would be the best deal ever. not sure if it's still available now.

i have to agree that the 865l is a very good router compared to SH's past offerings. the range is not bad too.

tech support say many people are having this issue too and their suggestion is to provide the ip addresses of the servers that see us as Renjiao International Technology Corporation Ltd.

i can't access games with restrictions on locations.

speed is okay though..

you see whether your ipv6 is enable or not, if so disable it.

Why not chiu connect directly to the ont and try access the website you mentioned?

If still cannot, call SH, if direct ONT no problem, likely cause is the ipv6 is enable.

If still cannot find the problem, do a factory reset to your router.

likely. my wifi card has the same problem. if it's still under warranty, just send it for a check and show prove that every other device had no problem connecting, only the laptop.

warranty expired. can connect just that took too long to connect. wifi speed no good.
