It's does affect me. I using smart dns . They cannot see my router wan ip rather those display as ip 183....

then you have to log a ticket with starhub. so far via email will take 1-2 working days to reply. best if you can get them to call you via the email then go from there.

Just got the 200mbps fibre installed today. Any recommendations for a wireless dongle for my desktop? Currently using homeplug.. which.. sucks.

if you are using a AC router, can consider a AC dongle from asus however, if your desktop and the router is block by walls, I would advise you to go for a dual band dongle instead.

But to get 200 mbps, you need to lay cable. Using wireless dongle at 2.4 ghz, I won't be surprise if you get around 50 mpbs or lower.

He has mentioned it. You can't go wrong with Asus.
One of the following dongles should suffice:
PCE-AC68
PCE-AC66
USB-AC56
USB-AC53
EA-N66
USB-N66
PCE-N53
USB-N53

All of them are dual-band, but since the 865L supports AC, it is a better idea to get a AC dongle to utilize the router. AC dongles can be quite expensive though.

Just testing my internet speed on Speedtest.net

on 2.4ghz, wireless, mac os x

DL : 18 mbps
UL : 23 mbps

on 5 ghz, wireless, mac os x

DL : 21 mbps
UL : 18 mbps

Hmm, could the slow speeds be attributed to a wall between my router and my laptop? I'm on the 200mbps plan btw.
