here is the speed test without hw acceleration turned on
It used to be able to get 100mbps
I was about to ask "what is it when ACC is turned on" but realised your router will keep rebooting etc..
anyway try this - change yuour DNS to something static. Perhaps use the google ones and advise if that fixes the problem>
I agree, Asus should take ownership of the problem and engage starhub to address the problem since it's affecting more and more people now. It's a growing problem with starhub subscribers and I think it's high time someone takes the lead.
@Asus - did Asus ever come back with the logs I supplied you ?
One word of fairness and not that i'm siding with ASUS.
Firstly, let me state some facts
1). The Broadcom CTF module aka hardware acceleration haven't really undergo fixes for both ASUS RT-N66U and ASUS RT-AC66U.
2). M1/SingTel/MyRepublic/Viewqwest users that are using the ASUS RT-N66U and ASUS RT-AC66U are not experiencing routers rebooting and super slow speed when the hardware acceleration is disabled according to the reports i have been make known @ the ASUS networking support. Starhub users only experience it after one particular Starhub maintenance on the recent Saturday. Before that, Starhub users are using the ASUS RT-N66U and ASUS RT-AC66U happily like nobody business.
3). ASUS TW are looking into this matter why
only one particular Internet Service Provider in Singapore is impacted by this. It's not easy to find out the root cause of it as Starhub is well known to be atrocious in revealing stuff about the backend infrastructure same as like SingTel.
4). Starhub Fiber users should band up together and raise their issues with Starhub since they have allowed Starhub users to use third party routers.
Refer to point 2
5).
Add on ~ It's not about taichi back to Starhub, ASUS TW are looking this matter together with Broadcom, if there is any updates or special firmware releases. I will surely update my thread accordingly.
My 2 cents
