The Starhub Proxy is up again. I just realize connection getting slower. anyone feel it too?

Use this link Advanced Proxy Check

Header Test TRUE

Positive. MY ping to router shows 2ms and this is what I've gotten from Speedtest

Edit: The rest of the servers are ok except for viewquest speedtest server.

Speed test yield ok results but site access for overseas is slow. Sometimes doesn't load.

Yup slow access to overseas site here too.
Sometime stuck at "waiting" very long but if I click stop the whole page appear instantly.
Only seems to happen on overseas sites though.

It's really useful to learn this yourself.

Also, you might not even need to configure if the router supports UPnP, as programs like uTorrent can request for port forwarding from the router itself.

Hi LimCHD i did port forwarding of the Dlink 865L router following this guide
Port Forwarding the Dlink DIR-655 Router for Utorrent

So u think since this router supports UPnP i should not do port forwarding then? Also as a feedback from a brand new SH Fibre 100Mbps user:

I had rather low expectations and only wanted much better torrent speeds and smooth youtube HD videos and am very satisfied on both counts!

Improved from max 1.5MB/s for torrent on 15 Mbps ADSL Singtel to 6-7 MB/s with SH Fibre 100Mbps :s12:

Lastly why not the gurus have a sticky on best/optimal settings for Dlink routers supplied by Starhub? Cos i see one for Singtel router hee

Which site? I've been getting that on Mega for quite some time already, but other overseas Mega users are also experiencing the same thing.

zippyshare, tusfiles etc. the chinese sites (baidu and wei yun) seem to be working now although i had the same problem last week.

how "short" is the range?

Seems like 5GHz can only reach line of sight and can't even reach through a single wall or a wooden door. Even if it does the speed drops a lot and the connection becomes intermittent.

Whereas 2.4Ghz can go through a couple of walls, doors, etc. fine, so far defeated only by office-type metal cabinets.
