guess i miss this out. i think if your mbed room is at e far corner of the house you are better off with homeplugs or 2nd access point.

the dlink range is good but with partitions everywhere you will likely get back the same wireless experience.

maybe is consider far corner.. but squarish design layout.. did consider the homeplugs and bridging but eventually decided against it.. however now toying the idea with that 615 or 655 since so many ppl doing it..

dlink, i would say slight better nia.. but at least the router is in the position i want..

with HW, the router i had to place it say 2m-3m near to the master room door.

got the dlink today.. yes.. coverage slight better but at least the router is at where i want it to be.. hopefully i dun have to change to a second set..

oh.. what are the issue to look out for the dlink?

My issues were that unable to surf internet/load webpage even when shown connected wirelessly but wired ok. Heard that there's also the auto dc problem with some ppl here.

Maybe you might want to hold your horses in getting the 615 or 655 as some peeps here trying to get the Asus to help on firmware for RT-56U for Starhub just like what had been done for Singtel & M1...:D:D:D

Yup, just awaiting for firmware to release. From what I've understand, should be something similar for M1.

If i'm not wrong, you will need to connect Dlink to Asus if want to use voip...;)

SH seem to be doing something in the backend as I'm also not able to achieve speed like I used too.

I wouldn't opt for M1 for many reason's that can be found in threads here.

You can try bridging it to a router that broadcast 5Ghz, should have better results but make sure those devices able to support 5Ghz in the 1st place.

What I've done was to bridge Dlink to my old AEBS. Dlink still broadcast 2.4Ghz for my mobile phones while AEBS broadcast 5Ghz for my Macs and Netbook.
