not landed. but big and many walls...

how big is big? 10 rooms?

when i switched to ASUS RT56U, i place my router at the far corner of my house no issues getting full connectivity at the other corner of it.

On top of that, i have no issues connecting from the bus stop across my block.

my other routers i will have to position closer to the central location of my flat.

btw, last i recall you can't use the WAN port of the DVG-5402SP. Can't test it now as i don't have the unit with me.

Wow?

Sorry do not know the ASUS RT66 coverage. Will get it and try it.

Right now my DIR-825 can only cover 1/3 of my area.

yes seems like it. the DVG-5402SP is preset with the starhub vlan config... thats why can't connect to the WAN port if i remember correctly.

DIR-655, 825, 855 - all of which i have experience with.

have to be placed in the middle of my flat. no choice + i don't get full connectivity for connections at the corner.

Yeah my DIR-825 is at the corner... no choice hence i need to put wireless.

yeap. no doubt you can probably use it as a "switch-alike" though.

yeah hence i think can't be done..

Currently using SH issued Huawei one.... wireless signal think not so good... :o.....

Anycase, my Home voice I did not use for the Fibre modem... that time told me need to change number, so I stick back to the old Motorolla modem.......

Currently I'm on DV. Is there any special requirements I have to tell them to than there is no VLAN ID after they remove my DV option?

I just got a call back from SH's tech guys. Just told them I don't use DV and I want to use my own router. They asked me what router I used and that's it. They said they will get the process rolling and remove the DV from my account. They said it will take a couple of days. Nice and easy.
