just signed up for the 39.30 100mbps plan. got a free hubstation for cable tv too ^_^.

anyone got any idea if the ONT can be connected directly connected to the computer without the wireless router.

Your hub station is free rental for the full 24 mths?

My fiber line is still not up after a week and I'm getting tired of SH's pushing the blame around departments. Anyone managed to cancel their plan without penalty due to unacceptable time to get things up and running?

just call them and tell them you want it. It is their issue for not honouring their end.

My friend managed to cancel it after signing cus the speed they promised he didn't got it on his computer, could only hit <10mbps. When my cable broadband with them expires I'm not gonna recontract fibre with them. Worst of all just renew cable broadband,at least it's stable.

imo, using cable or adsl is the stupidiest thing in the long run.

Fibre is stable, just that ISP screwed it up.

no hard feelings.

Probably referring to the dvg router. Other capable routers can hit better numbers

Repeating a request for someone using SH fibre to try and access psx-scene. Mine keeps saying no data received when navigating to that website.

Same here. Getting "The connection was reset".

Going thru VPN no issue.

Hi all, need some advice regarding my starhub fibre setup.

I am currently using the huawei ont & dlink router given by starhub ... The signal & transmission speed on the dlink router is quite terrible ... so I did call starhub to check if they can change the ont to a voip enabled 1 so that I can run direct ont and buy a new router but unfortunately starhub does not have that option ...

So I am left with the option to ...
1)port back my digital voice line to my old cable modem & run direct ont
2)run the dlink router as bridge mode to connect the new router.
Which would be a better option?

I am also looking at which router to get .. Asus N56RT or N66RT? Or any other models would you recommend?

Would appreciate any advice given ... Thanks in advance
