warranty expired. can connect just that took too long to connect. wifi speed no good.

1. update drivers
2. ensure network adapter settings are default
3. what channel used for wireless? 2.4GHz or 5GHz?
4. go remove all previous wireless connections and reconnect again

btw, what card is that?

yeah correct. is it 802.11 n cannot detect 5GHz?
hp notebook connect 2.4GHz
also previously my mbp before upgrading to Mavericks can detect/connect 5GHz, after updating can't detect 5GHz.

mpb now connect 2.4GHz instead of 5GHz. speedtest for mbp is 106 mbps.

802.11 n support dual band but most of the intel based notebook wireless adapter are still using 2.4 ghz.

Mpb should be auto connected at 5ghz as it support ac mode.

MBP connect to 2.4GHz but getting 106Mbps?

impossible.

on the contrary, your hp notebook seems to be getting the correct speed of 70Mbps if its at 2.4GHz

How do you determine you are connected to 5GHz or 2.4? Can download inssider and post screen shots?

I might have missed it as well, which router again?

@Humster @Zangetsu

same issue here. every website is showing my isp as Renjiao International Technology Corporation Ltd

tech support say many people are having this issue too and their suggestion is to provide the ip addresses of the servers that see us as Renjiao International Technology Corporation Ltd.

i can't access games with restrictions on locations.

speed is okay though..

I have the same issue on wired and wireless using my N66u with stock latest firmware and default settings. I encounter the same issue even when I use RMerlin's firmware.

No such issues with direct connection though.

wireless adapter is Intel(R) Wireless WiFi Link 5100. cannot get good wifi speed.

seriously speaking, I doubt any N wireless adapter can achieve 100% of the download speed.

I only see ac wireless adapter the download speed is comparable with a wired connection within line of sight.

Greatly appreciated if any Starhub fibre folk can help me to do a PingPlotter trace route test to v5app1.sistation.com and post the result here. I want to see the latency of every hops connecting to my rice bowl. Using SingNet now, as you can see is puking blood from hop 9 onward all the way to the server.
