Starhub users can try this Speedtest server that is hosted on SGIX (Singapore Internet Exchange)

On my connection i am only getting 40564kbps on my Starhub connection. terrible speed even in local speed

Speedtest servers can only perform as fast as their own bandwidth, CPU, available NIC port capacity, etc. Try testing with VQ (they have a good speedtest server), or SH's own ookla speedtest server. SGIX performs poorly for everyone - their results on my MR connection suck.

How is your starhub and MR speedtest reading on SGIX server?

Neither are good on SGIX.

Both max out on the SH speedtest server (the SH comes close to maxing out but can't due to network overhead issues...the MR speed is 150m, SH is 1 gig).

Hi , just installed fibre maxinfinity 300mbps..

However,when using wired LAN,the result is =300-302mbps.

but when wireless = 58-60mbps(5ghz)

Both tested using speedtest.net and the nearest server..

Issit normal guys?or issit the router? Thx

The router's capable of much better. Is your wifi test done on the same computer or using a mobile phone? Most phones are limited in their wifi capability. If it's on a computer, try setting the router to use a different wifi channel. Also, when on wifi, are you in the same room or a different room? 5 GHz doesn't travel well through walls...

Won't help. Tablets etc are 2x2 - they can't go much faster. Test the wifi using a notebook computer - should be much faster. My notebook gives me around 340 m (same room, wifi); my previous-gen iPad can barely hit 100.

i will not advise channel 12 or 13.

and note 2 is only on 65Mbps card. You wouldnt exceed anywhere above 65Mbps.

GUYS i just realised something!!

All this while, we had been using maxinfinity e.g 300Mbps etc speed instead of 300MBps..

Therefore its 300megabits = 37MegaBytes only...

i think myrepublic is better....what are you opinion guys? THINK ABOUT IT....

ISP plans are on Mbps. Never on MBps.
Read carefully. The M, B, G and etc are important characters.

one question is, can u guys share ur preffered router settings (wifi channel etc) ? Bcoz i tried using note 3 that is ac dual band enabled(connect to 5ghz) , but still getting dload speed of maximum 50plus mbps on speedtest using starhub mobile server.... it shud be more mbps on ac right?
