I have tried out the Dlink 868L, wired connection able to attain around ~930mbs down/up

Wifi connection yet to test out the real AC speed as i currently do not own any AC devices haha.

But the range seems okay, can reach the same room previously reachable by my old ASUS router.

Then use the router.
Dont need waste money to get the Asus AC87.

Try changing the DNS.

If this doesn't help and it is some sort of intermittent disconnection which a number of users have reported on Starhub's forum, then you have to call Starhub and good luck with their junk technical help.

What speed you achieved during speedtest? Here a good legal torrent to test http://torrent.unix-ag.uni-kl.de/torrents/KNOPPIX_V7.4.2DVD-2014-09-28-EN.torrent

Should be able to get at least 40+MB/s depending on your subscribed speed.

Make sure you disable “Enable bandwidth management" in your torrent software.

most likely is the setting, previously even worst. Recently after changed some setting, speed improved a lot.

I'm planning to get the Starhub Dual Broadband 500 mbps + 100mbps Cable package at $49.90.

Reason 1:
To upgrade my current 100mbps Fibre to 500 mbps installed in my Living Hall for everyone in the family to use (Wifi connection usage only).

Reason 2:
I wanted a dedicated wired connection for my room's PC and Smart TV and Android TV box. So, I'm thinking that using the wired connection of the given dedicated 100mbps Cable router installed in my room would be much much better comparing of using the 500mbps Fibre Wifi connection.

So, at $49.90, technically and practically worthy?

Hmm.....I'm not paying for the subscription!. My elder bro is.

Therefore, he is not willing to pay that extra $10 per month lor.

Anyway, no one uses the wired fiber connection. All are using wifi connection only.

Except myself that I need to use wired connection in my room only. Also, no cable point for fiber in my room. Also, can't lay long cable across the house due to human traffic!

The most important of all to me is that 100mbps Cable wired connection via the 2nd DL 868 AC router installed in my room for this package.
