Anyone here using the Homehub go package? wonder if its worth it.

I am on homehub go 1000 currently, just recontracted with their door to door giys and even got a $120 voucher. Basically this plan quite worth it, phone plan cheaper than standard 4g4 and I get 7gb of data per mth, phone handset they had a $150 discount for some models also. Quite happy with it.

what do you mean? What language am i using?
The problem is you guys are barking at the wrong tree for all of the wrong reasons.

N56U is a pure N Router. You will not get anything higher than 150Mbps if your range is bad.

The distance between your room is 1 factor
the objects between your router and device is another factor.

If you save $ to get n56u and if things doesn't improve, you are merely wasting money because the n56u router was so yesterday.

So wad router sld I b using for my 200mbps fibre connection? Asus ac68u? If I had known wld have gone with m1 $39 1gbps n get the ac68u for $5 each month

Going to say bye bye to my homehub 200. What items need to return to Starhub? I called a few times and waited for soooo long and the CSO always gave me different answer. Only thing I know is must return the Starhub TV Set Top box with cable. However, some said must return the Dlink router, some said no need but must return ONT box together with Motorola modem for digital telephone line.Go to starhub shop, they told me to call 1633 can already.

Very Jialat and confused.

The ONT have to return.
Router and cable modem don't need to return.

Do you have any idea of your wireless nic. You can open up Device Manager, look for the name of the wireless network adaptor card.

While you are connected to the 2.4GHz, open up Network and sharing centre, click on the wireless network and see what is the connected speed. Like this:

These will help to analysis whether the speed is limited by your nic.

Tried 3party firmware? It works much better imo

Yes is normal. Additionally its a multi-way thing.

Your adapter must be high-end as well to match the router otherwise you will be getting slow speed.

My ac7260 can hit close to 500Mbps on 5Ghz with ac68u iirc on my last benchmark test but the router is pretty close to where i am connecting it from.

Changing the channel and enable wide/exted band will help for 2.4GHz as well.

Change settings such as

40mhz instead of 20mhz
Ac/n only instead of mixed
Changing channel
Use merlin firmwAre

Etc,etc,etc

Using 1 Gbps and on wired I get download at 400Mbps and upload at 640Mbps . On wireless I get download at 120 Mbps and upload at 200Mbps. Using an ac68u router. Wireless was on the 5ghz band... Is it common or is there something wrong with the way I teat. I used the speed test app on an iphone 6 for the test... Even on wire I feel the download speed isn't good enough( directly from modem out) I am using cat 5e cable to connect from modem to router. On Merlin firmware

Connect your computer directly to the ONT and do speedtest as a baseline.

okie I change to the Merlin firmware.... didn't really do any speed test till now... I am getting like Download of 173.61Mbps and Upload of 197.68Mbps....

Doesn't seem to be correct right?? I am using RT-AC66U, direct LAN connection on SH 1000Mbps.... :s11:

Any setting need to be done???
