does this star plan is post paid or prepaid plan?
According to post #104, Mobile Number under star plan is under "prepaid status", and you can only port in to those Telco accept Prepaid port-in.

it is a prepaid plan that is marketed by starhub as a postpaid no contract plan.

you will face issues when porting to other telcos due to this.

maybe it was done intentionally so that customers will be stuck for them for awhile before they can port out of it.

I am so disgusted with Starhub. I received a notification that my Prepaid plan will be upgraded to 5G Prepaid Star Plan. Although it is "Prepaid", a fixed monthly renewal fee is needed, $10, $15 and $30.
I chat with the CS whatsapp, and informed that all the Prepaid services will be upgraded to such Star Plans.
Sales team definitely good at boosting revenue, so called Prepaid plans;

What happens if you don't have enough balance to renew? The line gets cut off?

It is not clear to me how a user can have 10 lines under the prepaid Star Plan, when IMDA restricts each user to at most 3 prepaid lines and 10 postpaid lines.

Starhub website DOES say “Bye Bye, Bill Shocks. Pay upfront for all you need, including add-on services. No hidden fees.”

Doesn’t pay upfront mean prepaid? I think that’s quite clear. What concerns me is what some have claimed that porting from Star Plan to another provider might not be possible since prepaid to postpaid.

Would be good to have clarification on that.

Well i whatsapped SH & asked if sim only star plan is under 3rd party MVNO or SH. Claimed is under SH. I asked if its prepaid & she claims no, there is a prepaid star plan but only can be found via the app not shown on website 🤷🏻‍♂️

I recently saw the notice in my SH Prepaid app that my plan will soon be upgraded but considering all the issues I’ve been reading about this plan, I don’t want to migrate to the new plan. Is that still an option or will I be forced when it’s my time?

If forced to migrate, might as well go to eight, which is cheaper and offers more right?

I’m looking for a true prepaid plan like the current one, not one with a monthly fee, what other options would you recommend
