I'm seriously very unhappy when I hear about the star plan thingy.
I wish that I'm aware of this before I go and port over.
So here is what I currently plan to do.
1) before 30th of September - so I'm expected to lose some money so be it
2) transfer all the line to circle life or Simba
3) once the circle life or simba is over, I will pop back to the main Telco postpaid again.

Yup, for starplan it ported out when i were about close to before the renewal of next month plan. Den for CL, i did the port 10 days before the plan renew to avoid all the deduction. But just take note CL, have this internal security options that needed to be disable which by right the CL staff should know about it.
Basically during the port back to starhub i had a heart attack, as suppose on the 6 sept were suppose to be the porting but there were no movement and update. 7 sept 3.30am, notice my line were cancelled on CL while my hub line were showing the temporary numbers until 11am then finally my temp numbers got replaced to my main line numbers.
Now im glad that, everything is over.
Quota this post for reference.

My IDD calling (all options, use 008, 018, + etc got KO suddenly. First month was ok. Then when the monthly billing happen for second month, IDD gone. Inside app can see that 200m free IDD is left. But when I dial, it immediately says "call ended".

I tried app support they take super long to respond + not resolve yet. Went to NEX they say cannot do anything about Star plan, only app support. The guy was quite rude as if swatting away a fly. Also cannot port to another non-star plan. When I said does that mean switch to another provider he says Yes!
Tell me about it. The experience in the shop was terrible when the staff knew that one was asking about the star plan. Not only the staff, but also the call centre. They direct me to the chat function. My experience with the chat function was nothing short of disappointment.
din do my research and signed up star plan with iPhone 16 pro max installment scheme last Friday.
1. I did not know that I need to key in cis code via promo code and obviously I din do so during signing up. Ask whether they can let me change plan after sign up, the chat rep replied no.
2. I received an email on the day u signed up that my SIM card was ready for collection and to be collected before 4th Oct. Went down to nex and to my horror, the staff kept telling me that they couldn’t attend to me for star plan and told me that there was no SIM card for collection and the collection should be on the date when the phone was ready for collection. Asked me to use the chat function.
3. Managed to get someone from the chat function and I questioned him on the conflicting instructions, the rep could read the email I screenshot as “collect on 4th Oct instead of by 4th Oct.” When I told him that it was not supposed to be this way, he told me that someone will email me regarding the collection date. Subsequently I finally received an email 3 days later to inform me that the SIM card will be ready on the phone collection date which is this Friday.
I am porting in from M1 and reading so much issues some had on porting in, I hope I dun get the same issue and I hate to use the chat function.

Hi, I'm quite unhappy with the star plan. The customer 'service' is just... bad.
Been with it for a few months and it kind of feels like I got scammed into getting it.

What's the best way to way to convert my number back to a normal postpaid contract plan?
I don't mind waiting for it to get it changed back, but I'm just checking if its possible and how long it can take.

Port out to revert back to postpaid plan/visit Starhub Shop (IIRC).
Only CL, SIMBA, CM, M1 Maxx, able to provide prepaid to postpaid conversion.

Hi all, I saw a small banner paste on 711 store glass door. Star plan $15. 500 talk times. 50 sms. Is it tourist sim or sim only plan? Anyone know the caller ID is chargeable or free if it is sim only plan? 711 staff said no details for this plan, not yet in their computer. Thanks

For normal STAR plans, they're included in the plan.
SIM Only has Caller ID charges IIRC.
Tourist SIM is entirely different.

If you have a photo, will be able to advise.
Otherwise, nobody can share any definitve answers to your questions.

The ads printed with "Star plan. 100gb forever. 500 local mins. 50 SMS. Up to 100 IDD mins. On Singapore's #1 Awarded Network." That all. Didn't said 4g or 5g.

For Star Plan, you can chat with them over here ( Right bottom "chat with us" ) :

https://www.starhub.com/personal/support/article.html?id=v0SrGiOGxY0jRU7sLKOKY5

But you should read through this whole thread to see the difficulties subscribers faced in porting out and other support (only via Chat, 1633 don't entertain star plan) issues BEFORE whether to sign up.
Meaning star plan is not under starhub main team it is side product which have no full support from their main team?

I am not yet a SH customer. No app to chat to Star team
Download the app then.

Star plan is 12 or 24 months contract?
STAR plan is a no contract plan, similar to SIM ONLY plan by Starhub.
Managed by different team thus, you have to contact the STAR team instead.

Its a problematic product, but I presume you have done your research before even bothering to ask for more info of this plan.

I don't know how it is classified. I only knew star plan only have virtual support. Eg, if you sim card faulty, you have to request for replacement using starhub app and wait for them to mail it to you...
