Is Starhub’s 5G and 10G islandwide-ready, or like M1 still not islandwide?

I had an error halfway through my application, did not specify reason when the prompt came up, but when I clicked back I got a page saying my address is not fibre-ready? :s22: If so, all the discussion on the 10G router/mesh/switch no meaning for me anymore :frown:

South-East, almost 10 year old BTO in mature estate :o
Appers to be ready island wide. Try giving 1630 a call instead, the website is a little glitchy

Need, unfortunately … from AC through AX, with primary node at DB, the load bearing walls between this corner of my home to my master bedroom at the 45-deg opposite corner, I get no 5G and 2.4G is spotty. Doubt the problem goes away with Wifi 7.
I see, at first i still thinking using LAN cable connection at the master bedroom.

May be tomorrow you can call them to ask them when they open shop. May be it is the FTP issue or what. SH is available island wide.

Starhub trooper just installed ONT & HB710 today. thought saw his wired speed tester registered more 3 Gbps tried with my macbook pro(2018 model) couldn’t get download speed more than 1Gbps.

Tried changing rebooting, resetting and changed optical & ethernet cable.

Should I get technical support to troubleshoot?
Are you using an USB-C to Gigabit Ethernet Adapter?

Yes. Asus has EOLed all the AC routers and you should upgrade due to security concerns.
https://www.asus.com/event/network/eol-product/

Last FW updates for Asus RT-AC2600 was in March 2021.

ASUS RT-AC2600 Firmware version 3.0.0.4.382.52516
Version 3.0.0.4.382.52516
16.25 MB

Thanks for the information, both my Asus routers are in the list.

Called 1633 said I want changed from ONR to ONT because I want to upgrade to wifi 7, scheduled to called tomorrow but called today.

1633 rejected me saying I on contract, already started for a year so cannot make changes to the equipment. Duh!! LL has to think of solutions if really backside itchy wants to change out my Asus routers, even though everything is working fine now.

Hi all
Just signed up the ONT version and saw this NLT charge of $57.77. Is it waived for new sign up?
I search through the thread and saw comment it is waived. But wondering if it is only waived for resubscription or is it for new users as well. TIA.

Starhub is fast in installing, the guy called me few hours earlier as he got time, so I got it install 2 hours ahead. Cat 6 cable is used, sufficient for 5Gbps speed

Starhub finally managed to show up and install. So far so good (apart from the GUI password label at a rather inconvenient spot on the router). Will be checking gaming latency over the next few days to see if I am justified in moving away from Singtel...

Also managed to easymesh BE550 to HB710 so that's nice to see too

That time ONR got issue with Peak hours slow down so I used this as reason to ask technical support to change my ONR to ONT. Actually 18 months 1 days can early recontract then you ask for ONT. Just wait another few months can early recontract.

Can see your network is stable with a 2ms ping.

Hi all,

Can I seek some advice, I have signed up for 5Gbps ONT plan with StarHub. I have bought XE75 Pro (BNIB) but I realised there is only single 2.5gbps port, if I wired backhaul it will be bottleneck to 1Gbps.

Is there any option to put managed switch in between ONT and Deco XE75 Pro with VLANs configured (to reach ≥2.5Gbps wired backhaul) or I’m better off going with Deco BE65 (quad 2.5Gbps)?

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated 😊

Hi @waddahell,

I signed up new ONT plan with StarHub on 6 January 2025 via Sales Hotline, my sales agreement stated $61.04 under one-time charge. The sales person told me to ignore that as it’s waived.

I’m not able to upload image, but payment summary only stated the monthly subscription fee and $0 for one-time fee.

Hope this helps!

Ok noted. Ya, I read when you posted previously. So it’s unreasonable to quote this as my excuse so use the lame excuse to upgrade to wifi 7. 😂 So while waiting for 18th month, meantime I crack my brain how to integrate HB710 or EB810v to replace my Asus routers.

FYI. I saw someone posted this FAQ which mentions no one time charge.
