Product Update

I’m excited to announce that we’ll be expanding our offering after talking with many of you and listening to your recommendations. In the next few weeks, we will launch portfolios with higher risk! We’ve backtested these new portfolios, and over the last 12 months, the 3 new portfolios that we will launch have realised gross SGD returns that range from 9.0% to 10.2%.

A higher risk level? Hopefully they'll remove gold and replace AAXJ with S&P 500 and not throw in investment in an African diamond mine or something :D

Just curious, what are your risk levels? Mine is pegged at 14.

Anyways I just started in July with the above amount. Not too worried in making a small loss. These things need long term continued investments to achieve annualised returns of 4%-7%

Has anyone seen their investments being reallocated or reoptimised?

My risk level is 28. I have seen my portfolio reoptimised once.

I think u gotta continue to RSP in order to see returns. So far quite satisfied with the performance as compared to my other investments

Used both stashaway and autowealth, both entered on the same date.

As of today, auto wealth is a 2% gains, stashaway is at 6.9% gains. (Do note that my portfolio setting for both are at the highest risk setting as possible and the gains are already inclusive of the fees.)

If anyone keen in Stashaway and dont mind using my referral code, we could both save some fees :) Just shoot me a PM.

Thanks.

I opened a stashaway account (most aggressive profile) for my son’s ang bao money in Mar 2019 and it’s currently up 2.8%. Everything is up except gold (unsurprisingly).

I chose stashaway as I find their investment philosophy logical (even the bit on investing in the US market) and the fact that I can throw any small amount (even $5-$10) in. This makes it great for kids and I doubt any other fund is willing to be this flexible and provide such professional portfolio services at this sort of price level.

Great for teaching kids about the difference between placing money in savings accounts, fixed income and equities.

My Stashaway currently at 16.6% USD returns from March 2018 to 5 April 2019, closed my autowealth account as the returns were much much lower. All my portfolios are using the highest risk setting (highest equity investments)

My risk index is 14% (moderately aggressive). Started using Stashaway about 9 months ago and have been consistently adding funds on a monthly basis.

I invested 5k with no monthly deposits and the current returns is 6.7% after 1 year.

Seems not bad.

are u able to see the return rate after converting from USD to SGD? the rates that shows seems to be based on USD before forex

I wonder if people notice this but you guys do know you are potentially paying 2 rounds of dividend withholding taxes right?

https://www.stashaway.sg/r/stashaways-etf-selection

FEZ, which is the european index domiciled in US. When dividends are paid from the European companies held by the US ETF, there will be DWT incurred by the fund.

https://us.spdrs.com/public/SPDR Index Shares Intl 9.30.18 Web Ready_.pdf

Then guess what happens when we Singaporeans receive dividends from the US ETFs (nope, dividend reinvested is NET of DWT paid to US authorities)? Yes, we pay dividend withholding tax to the US authorities as well.

BTW, this doesnt just apply to FEZ. Many countries have DWT policies :)

Costs are real and unforgiving. Returns and outperformance is just a dream...

Performance shown on our portfolios are already taken in consideration of all fees charges and taxes. Still getting real good returns for something that just throw and forget about it portfolio.

Returns and outperformance are normal in ETFs etc, I’m not sure which dimension u lives in which are dream :)

I am just sharing as someone who is also passively investing, just that I make sure I pay less to the tax authorities. Of course we dont have to optimise to death if thats not our preference.
