are u able to see the return rate after converting from USD to SGD? the rates that shows seems to be based on USD before forex

Currently at 17.3% SGD and 17.9% USD due to the fluctuation of currencies during the investment term, Not significant on my end. Their forex are real Low, I believe it’s the lowest among all the existing robo.

Lump sum or dca better?

Started 1 month ago and did my 1st topup yesterday. Return 2.6% after 1 month.

Haven seen any portfolio rebalancing thou. How often does stashaway rebalance the portfolio?

Just wanted to share this article. After reading this some time ago, I just do a lump sum for all my investments.

Statistically speaking (about a third of the time) there are situations where DCA works (i.e. falling markets) but these are precisely the conditions when human emotions make it hard to do so.

I didn’t verify the figures but wanted to share since so many ppl are asking (not enough post count can someone google and help link?)

Set auto transfer weekly/monthly for DCA, no actions nor emotions required. Unless bank no balance 😂

Just sharing an actual forex of stashaway converting our SGD to USD at time of buy in while i was looking thru the monthly statement. The rate is impressive, among the best out of all robo in SG? - do correct me if i'm wrong.

On top is a screenshot of the stashaway statement and below is the live chart from XE for 29 March.

opened and deposited S$500 with stashaway on christmas-eve. no further deposit.

return-to-date is +8.8%. risk index 15%.

guess timing of entry worked well in my favour here. :o

Has anyone put any substantial amount of funds into Stashaway? Like 50k onwards

Tempted to close my IWDA + EIMI positions but the thought of the 0.8% AUM tiered fees holds me back

People use robo because they are lazy to look into IB and manual buy every month, a lot more hassle. I’ve never heard of anyone closing IB to put in robo lol.

I’m actually quite lazy to use IB haha queuing for USD then queuing for IWDA + EIMI...

That’s why tempted to close IB and shift lump sum to Stashaway then DCA every month too

There may always be better alternatives, new entrants that suit our preference better or cost cheaper.

That is why I still keep a look out for alternatives even tho I am on IB
