Wow, I just realised that you are an Olympic weightlifting champion in a minor contest!

But then again the skinny female kids at the recent YOG can lift more than you! LOL!!!

Completely different comparisons.

Those kids while young, have trained much longer in olympic weightlifting specifically, for a longer time than Gala and perhaps had more access to more proficient coaches and experience.

Olympic Weightlifting is not exactly something mainstream in Singapore.

Gala only started training for Olympic Weightlifting for less than a year and past 30 years old. He will still improve, perhaps you would like to take him on, or are you unable to lift more than those skinny female kids as well? :)

Jordi, whatever might have happened in the past, it is over. You seem to be still harping over things and taking constant jabs at Gala. That is quite un-necessary isn't it?

And I don't think it is in the area or spirit of Health & Fitness or Sports to be constantly insulting people yea? :)

Gala does his own researches, has his own set of principles and beliefs, just as you have your own set of beliefs. Everything is debatable in the area of Health & Fitness or Sports, so just let things be eh? :D

If he was that much of an arse, he is in the position to have you banned, given that you are constantly trying take jabs at him. But he has not done that, has he?

hmm. gala, i dunno if its appropriate to ask you, but what do u think of squats abt parallel, or even slightly higher? keep in mind of my goals of increasing my vert tho, cos im not training to compete in a meet, but to increase my vert.

research on volleyball players is clear. Full ATG squats give the most benefit and reduce risk of injury the most, AND have the greatest corelation to jump performance. Anything less is for people who are not flexible enough, or are wimps and want to have big weights but poor range of motion.

Hurt? Why would I be hurt? Have you ever read my signature? I freely admit that I'm weaker than many Chinese girls. Yet, I'm the one holding the Gold medal, not him, nor you. I wonder why? Anyway, it can't possibly hurt more than imagining being Mr Olympia yet not even having the courage to join, and the discipline to train for a local event, or living in a fictional 2008. I can't possibly imagine the hurt that would drive one to keep repeating the same old insults over and over again. :)

It would be more appropriate to ask in a separate thread or a new one as this is a question not necessarily related to lifting stats. But anyway, Jon has answered your question already, and he's way more qualified to answer than I am. :)

a mish mash of stuff. i've done 5x5, WS4SB, dan johns a lift a day, sheiko, ian king stuff... too many to remember already. now i usually just go with the flow. split training of back, chest, legs and shoulders/arms. focus on a main lift targeting 3-5 rep at each session then just do some assistance work with higher reps. no real plan. just see what is available.

What kinda stupid logic is that?

If you answer a maths question 1+1=3.

I need to be better than you in maths to have the RIGHT to correct you???

Anyway, anyone can post or say anything on the Internet. A guy with a 40 inch waist can say he has a 6-pack and post OTHER peoples' pics and say that is his...

I am just commenting on a FACT: the guy needs to pack on more mass to be more competitive.

Yeah, no sh*t sherlock. As long as you're not Mr Olympia, meaning, you're not the #1 bodybuilder in the entire world, you'd need to pack on more mass, be more conditioned, be better in one way of another, to be more competitive...even Ronnie Coleman, even Jay Cutler. That's a colossally non-value adding and irrelevant statement given the topic at hand.

It appears that this is the route that you've been taking? Oh wait, you haven't even claimed to have any achievements as of yet. At least you have that bit of intelligence.
