Stay which hotel?

I usually stay at taipei main station and there're lots of food shops all around for breakfast. This time I'm thinking of staying in ximen and I was wondering if there are many food shops around there open for breakfast? I know there's a food street but it only starts afternoon to evening. Anyway, would you all prefer staying at taipei main station or ximen? If taking the first HSR from taipei main station, is it easy to get there from ximen (i.e. easy to get an uber from ximen to TMS at around 4 am?)

it's walkable from TMS to Ximen.

TBH i rather stay at TMS there easier to access n go out with luggage
last time stay ard ximen area the driver told me they hard to stop n pick me up

TMS better, much more convenient.

i kind of find it a little expensive unless it's two persons share

ah gui stay at amba during my first trip to taiwan, very memorable and nice boutique hotel, i think even golden horse film festival host their guests there

xmd or taipei in general got what other cheap nice hotels anyway? ah gui been to taipei once nia

Yeah definitely not on the cheap side, shorter stay still ok if long i will definitely find cheaper one
