Bedrock is awesome value (entertainer), while Skirt didnt do it for me. Its not bad, but at that price, i would just rather go to Cut.
I quite like Morton’s cos it’s a familiar, dependable, classic steakhouse experience. Also agree that Skirt somehow disappoints based on the price.

Anyway dinner

Wife treated me to Wolfgang's Steakhouse for b'day. The steak itself is pretty damn good, terrific crust and nice, juicy, dry-aged centre. Sides just "so-so," though, and overall it's pricey (s$311/2pax for 2soup + 1steak +2sides).

Although i guess other top tier steakhouses here also around the same price.

They serve only USDA prime beef (like the "original" Peter Luger in NY), nothing else. Full write-up / thoughts on blog if you're interested.

I loved Peter Luger. Will try out Wolfgang. Thanks.

if anyone would like to learn to cook their own steaks, please pm me. My western chef friend who have taught in culinary institution will be able to conduct a cooking class for you, one to one or group learning.

Lawry's or Skirt or wooloomooloo for steak? Wondering what's your opinion on these place? Or your experiences.

None of the above. Lawry's is known for prime rib, not steak. Wooloomooloo I went once and it was super disappointing, will never go back again. Skirt is OK but at that price point I'd rather just go Morton's or even Cut.
