Me? I'm afraid connoisseur is too lofty a word for me to live up to. I'm pretty sure there are folks here that are more deserving of that title.

I eat there because they're affordable. I can't eat expensive steaks all the time.

Anyone knows where to get kobe beef in sg? Like i know there's CUT and Fat Cow... Got any other recommendations? If not kobe, could also be a good cut.

SEAR@50RP used to serve Kobe a year or two ago when I visited them, but I think they rotate their wagyus so I don't know if they still do Kobe any more.

Chanced across Meatsmith by 18chefs in century square. $23 for this 300gm Uruguay strip loin. Surprisingly for an 18chefs restaurant the cooking was really competent - well seasoned, the correct requested doneness, very nice char on the edges.

The meat however was just so-so, was from Uruguay, and was a little tough / stringy.

SEAR@50RP used to serve Kobe a year or two ago when I visited them, but I think they rotate their wagyus so I don't know if they still do Kobe any more.

They have Kobe at Meidya Liang Court.

I think the Carvery's weekend buffet at Alexander is really quality stuff if you like beef and meat.

Gyu Kaku or Tajimaya's Wagyu buffet also can consider to be good quality stuff.
Mandarin Hotel's Triple 3 also have a Wed night Kagoshima Wagyu buffet

But be prepared to pay about 100 bucks a pax.
