Agree with u. There's literally not much growth with a dividend yield around 3.5%. ES3 is my biggest holding and I plan reduce my holding on this into something else.

yea.. it does not have to be all or nothing. always good to have some allocation in Singapore for dividend and stability in currency.

If have to rely on US to reach Mars and Jupiter before STI even leave our atmosphere, might as well switch and choose the better rocket now?

Personally, I have a spreadsheet that I use to track my investments. In it, I have a column that simulates buying ES3 at end-of-month market price every time I make a deposit into my trading account. I started last year September, and already outperform ES3 by >25% already, even though i have 5-7% holdings in ES3.

the catch of ES3 is not buy and hold, more like buy when index is low and sell when index is higher.
emphasis should be on total returns, not just div yield.
