What talking you? FSM can sell your shares in your CDP account...Just need to link FSM with your CDP account...It is the same for almost any other broker...Even if you buy shares and held in FSM custodian, you can still transfer it to your CDP account...So what is the issue?

Sorry I didn't know. So I can transfer my shares in FSMOne to cdp for free and still sell those shares from cdp? The only downside is I lose whatever status (silver, gold etc) with FSMOne If I have one

3. Can I transfer my SGX-listed securities held in my FSMOne account to my securities account with the CDP?
Yes, you can. You may incur transfer fees including third party fees or charges with respect to such transfers. Kindly approach the receiving platform to check on their procedures.
To transfer out your bonds, stocks and ETFs to CDP, please prepare and mail in a Letter of Intent signed by the CDP account holder in wet ink (By mail). Please note that you will not be able to access your securities when they are being transferred from and to your CDP account, and we would like to remind our customers to exercise caution when they transfer their holdings, especially during uncertain market conditions.

For SGX listed securities, the FSMOne Investment Account is also a CDP sub-trading account that is a held under a custody account with iFAST Financial Pte Ltd ('iFAST'). iFAST is a SGX Trading Member, CDP Securities Clearing Member and CDP Depository Agent. Alternatively you may wish to link your existing CDP account to FSMOne to sell your CDP stocks and ETFs to minimise transfers and risks as you will not be able to access the transferring security.

Sgx will charge $10.70 per counter for transferring.

You still need to pay $10.70/counter to CDP eventhough FSM waived their transfer fees for transferring from FSM to CDP...

To sell shares on FSM from your CDP, you need to fill up the "SGX CDP Sell" form and send it to them...They can't tell you from login how many shares you have in your CDP account after linking your CDP to FSM, but you need to know how many shares you have in your CDP when you want to sell...This doesn't apply to FSM only but on any other brokers which allows you to sell shares in your CDP...

The only reason to keep in FSM Custodian is for the status which is based on your AUM with them so you can enjoy the $10 flat fee when buying or selling...

So cdp and FSMOne each charges $10.70 for transfer of one counter either way but FSMOne waived the charge for now?

The charge is for each counter regardless of number of shares?

Same for most brokers that keep shares in Custodian and if you intend to transfer to CDP, you have to pay a fee to the broker and CDP...Some brokers like FSM will waive the fees on their end but you still need to pay $10.70...it is $10.70 per counter regardless if you transferring 10 shares or a million shares...

Economic activity would be further curtailed when more measures are put in place. This and a red closing on wall street points towards more pain in the STI on Monday.

To be honest the economic impact would be minimal given what has already happened. The number of tourists has already dropped very much last few weeks and won't drop drastically more after this news. In fact this filters out the negative bias of the so called tourists we are recently seeing. People who are sick or trying to escape their home countries. We don't need such tourists.

Thanks for pointing that out. I think you are right - impact may be minimal now.

Yes have. You link your ke account with your designated Maybank savings account. Top up takes around 2 working days. Commission is deducted the prefunded account. So it basically works like a prepaid account. Everything is deducted through there.

Yes, but the stocks and its dividend will be held by Maybank instead your own stocks in CDP. May I know if mu understanding is correct? FSMone is another trade platform like Maybank KE? We can buy and sell using this platform and it cost cheapest $10.70 per transaction to CDP account?

Yes, it's held by ke. So dividend etc is all credited to your prefunded account. To cash out, you got to call them. No charge as far as I understand. I trade small amount, not as rich as the bros here.. So this not bad for me. No minimal admin charge.. I do have their credit line acc like yrs.

The cheapest way to buy SGX listed and to go straight to your CDP account is DBS Vickers Cash Upfront which is minimum $10 for the trading fees and it is held on to your CDP...If you buy shares from any other brokers which keep it in Custodian account, you have to pay the trading fees when buying and another fee for transferring the shares to your CDP...

Thanks for your valuable info. I need to quicky open one DBS Vickers Cash Upfront account before it dropped below $2.0. STI is getting lower, i beleive it will keep dropping to $1.8 next month.
