if buy one lump sum like $10k and hold long term, probly better to buy directly frm exchange. if DCA like $100/mth, better go to posbsaver or robos. these big institutions benefit frm economics of scale and preferential rates and cut away traditional broker. so dun look as if there is an additional layer of fees.

They used to have difference but recent year the gap disappeared. Now it is influenced by the platform you use to buy them. For example if you insist on using POSB Invest Saver than you can only buy GB3. If you use other platform (GSM) you can buy both.

I guess ES3 is more popular as they are around longer and the unit price is slightly lower than GB3. Maybe that gives you the illusion that it is a better deal. I have RSP on both. For investment reason and for meeting some banking criteria (Multipler).

guys, G3b or es3? people prefer which one?

Wow ES3 10 years annualized return is 1.73% -https://sg.finance.yahoo.com/quote/ES3.SI/performance/

It's not encouraging at all... Thinking of adding local index etf, but it's not that encouraging (less currency risk and withholding dividend charges as compared to buying ETF such as VT, FTEC)

Other than ES3, I would also invest into CLR/CFA to overweight into REITs section.. Singapore is a REIT hub after all.

Probably also invest into the local bond index and gold etf for better diversification..
