I buy RSP monthly. Cannot imagine if I lump sum hoot at 3.6 back in 2018. Now cry all the way home.

Yahoo marketdata feed source took 21 May closed price instead of 22.

I guess their marketdata source from SGX was wrong.

Treat your RSP like buying endowment plans from insurance companies.

Give a 10 to 20 years holding period.

You can "surrender" any time when you have made enough returns. That's the flexibility.

DCA can't save your portfolio if you started investing that counter during peace times. One major correction like this and you're dead. So now is the opportunity to lump sum to average down.

Yea. Though it's a downturn now. But with this will come opportunity for different businesses to revamp and disrupt the industry.

Want to load up too. But too ambitious with stocks and all during this period. Caught myself in a not so liquid position.. Gotta be more prudent with my cashflow

Because they are not the same thing... warned many times not to blindly DCA STI but still people choose to take the advice of some rando ang mo without thinking.

buy STI just sit tight and collect dividends. price go down relative to earnings better. can accumulate more. no need to look at price everyday.
if u want fast and furious, u are looking at the wrong plc.
