Today buy will get D in time?

if look at it the other way ... may be is yes.

if you buy last week, you pay around 59c more

now you buy, ard 59c cheaper

the amount you "saved", you can spend it like if div issued :D .. minus the waiting time

Don't buy just for the sake of dividends.

You will be disappointed.

div for coming 2 years for situation/economy to improve ... hopefully.
along the way wait for capital gain.
used to stuck with bank FD :s22: :s8::o

You do realise if companies in the index pay lesser dividends, example the 3 banks, you will also get lesser dividends right

A lot of retirees bought dividends stocks like SIA, SPH, Singtel, Starhub, M1, Singpost, etc.

They collect dividends but suffer massive capital losses.
