camera's, laptops, camcorders, ssd's, harddisk, etc are cheaper in the states / japan / hk, if not for the courier delivery charges, sls would have closed long time ago.

SG is expensive due to expensive gov .. being gst, most money
earned by businesses fed back to fund property price escalation..

probably can go to HK, etc purchase once yearly or organise a mass buy on forum, no warranty though, also cases where ppl
abscond the money ..:o

I know that using a SSD really affect the transfer speed of PC to NAS by comparing with harddisk. By how much percentage does it affect the transfer speed?

The bottleneck is usually the NAS itself (unless you have an ultra-fast NAS), thus typically you will not benefit much from having an SSD in your PC for this purpose.

Usually the faster NAS are over 1k. If u r willing to spend the amount then it will benefit. However 100-150mbps even normal hdd can reach.

erm lets just say that you are plain rich.

For me i will not purchase 2 ssd though. Reason is very simple, cause the price of ssd will drop quite drastically on a yearly basis.

For raid 0, might as well get the PCI-e SSD..

much Better performance for abt similar pricing.. according to reviews.
