What kind of issues are they facing? I'm curious cos I didn't really do much research before I bought my Intel 320. Anyway, It doesn't sound very fair for them to drag their feet over this.

But the issues are not pervasive, are they?

depends on your definition of pervasive. i would say this is pervasive.

Usually the registry fix solves the problem but this entire issue is pretty daunting. Sadly, if you're not on Windows,
e.g. Sandy bridge Mac, there is no solution

tempted to just get a 320. I've been running Vertex 2 and then Vertex 2 RAID 0, the speed advantage can be felt but i think at the end of the day reliability at this stage is way more important. Until the the big boys get things sorted out it seems that Intel P67 with 320 is a safe combo

Whoa, that is bad! I'm lucky I went for the Intel 320 by chance.

Yes, when it comes to storage, my main concern is reliability. That's why I don't mind paying more if I have to, just for the peace of mind. And I always backup. Always.

why do you classify this as pervasive? I would think that for every case brought up in the threads you've listed, there are a thousand other users that do not have the same problem. If indeed the problem afflicts most C300 and M4 users, a litigious society like USA would have resulted in 1 or more class actions filed against Crucial/Micron.

I have applied the solution found here, to make a reg file to fix it, given that I do run win 7 with a Intel H67 mobo. It appears to have worked for now. Although I'm not sure how to 'undo' it at a later point when there's a fix from crucial/ intel.

Just make sure you save the the registry file, so that if you need to undo it you can open it up and inspect the values added/changed. and undo them.

So you have the freezing problem right? Sandforce?

In the USA, they have return policy everywhere, so most people just return it.

if i buy ssd just to store games(without os) to boost their loading speed, worth it bo? i mean i don't really need for a faster window start-up leh. when i reach home from work or just wake up, i can on my com 1st before going for a shower/wash-up and com will be rdy when im done also..

does anyone doing the same thing which i plan to do? :p

I doing it now. C300 for OS/Applications and Vertex 2 for Games
